Author's Response: Thanks. Well, I actually had to take a hella long hiatus for most of the year because my life fell apart. Some pieces have settled out, some pieces I'm still working on. But the frustration of it all sort of helped to feed this story. I just hope I don't have to take another crazy hiatus. I hate doing that.

ok so, i know its pretty bad what Bill did, but....serial killer? i dont think it could be counted as that. I mean if he went on a rampage, then yeah, but he just killed 3 people.
And also, i was expecting something even worse then that, beleave it or not. Like if he. like....ate the bodys or something....ok i officially gross myself out
Author's Response: I understand. Honestly, classification of serial killer is all a numbers game. I don't actually know the specific laws on it because it likely varies from country to country and state to state. The reason it was atrocious to me was the emotional aspect of it. However, the fact that it's not cooking kittens and raping dead children is because it attests to the power of rumors and reputation without evidence and Bill would no longer be the least bit sympathetic. If his crimes were truly that heinous, he wouldn't be a romantic, sympathetic, or vulnerable character anymore. On some levels, Bill is. So his character dances a fine line between serial killer and one time fuck up.

Author's Response: Despite my love for this story, I have a squeamish spot for rape scenes. I don't care who, they just really bother me so while it needed to be there, I couldn't write the whole thing. Besides, it's not like the story is PG-13. Trust me, there is much better sex ahead. ;)
