Aw. Bill really doesn't want to go. Would there ever be a chapter from Tom's point of view?

Does bill have some sort of mental retardation or any other mental issues? Since he acts a lot like a child, I was just curious. Great story though!

I fell in love with this story. It is different from other forms of fanfiction I have read and love how it is told from Bill's point of view. :)

I was actually thinking about this story not too long ago and had wondered what happened to it. Love the chapter, love Bill in this one! Can't wait to read more :D
Author's Response: Oh this story's still here, albeit a bit neglected ... New post coming soon! I should probably add super soon ;)

Life's been sort of crappy, so it's taken me this long to review! Dagnabbit! Anyway...
Writing stories at a "young" age for the win ^^ In the first few grades of school I frequently wrote little stories. One of them even got picked to be acted out by the "Imagination Machine" company, hehe.
And aww, I wish my class went to the zoo. Eh, but instead we went to the Performing Arts Center every year. One of the times was really awesome though; we saw the performance of an immensely skilled marionette puppeteer. He made the people (and a horse) move very realistically. To this day I still have some fascination with marionettes XD It sucks, though, because my mom is terrified of puppets and dolls.
(Wow, I'm inadvertently using this review as a personal diary =P)
To answer your question, Bill seems... gosh, I don't know how to explain it. He seems to understand that he's different, but in quite a blasé way. Or I guess... "abstract" is a better way to put it, as another reviewer did. I'm not qualified to judge whether that's positive or negative, psychologically-speaking =P Though for sure it would be negative if he constantly thought about it, I suppose.

Wow! I haven't been on THF for aaaaages but when I do come back on to have a look, I find that this has been updated?! What excellent luck!! Loved this chapter!!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! New update coming soon. :)

Oh, this cutie one is updated? Nice!
It's so sweet to see them going to the zoo and having a great day. I wish Tom could have come, too!
I think it's okay to make him recognize it, but to keep this as a happy fic, not too much angst about it? Perhaps?
Author's Response: There might be bumpy roads ahead, but remember: Bill's positive attitude and confidence levels are pretty strong... ;)

It was cute how Bill wants a twin for Simba. It shows (as if we didn't already know) how important Tom is to Bill. :)

First of all, you're welcome. You know, for riding you. It's not like you milked that for over a year or anything. And my previous threat holds true if you don't post part II within the week but I won't mention it any further here :P
“In this chapter we’re going to the zoo.”
“That’s what we’re doing today!” Andreas says and his eyes go wide.
“I know. I’m excited to find out what will happen.”
^The whole reason I love this story.
And Betha Ward? More like BITCHa Ward. That dumbfuck lost Lisa! And now Lisa's mom is her buddy? Lame.
Reading about Bill talking about how Tom's his best friend makes me wonder more about Tom. What's it like from his perspective to be twins with someone like Bill? He seems really selfless in this story, but there've had to have been times where Bill's really tried his patience or maybe he's wished for a more "normal" brother or maybe that he didn't have a brother or at? Or maybe he's just some kind of super human with endless patience and love which I can't even imagine because I am not that kind of person.
I would say you should do a chapter/separate one shot from Tom's POV but I won't ask too much of you.

I love this story. You are so good at writing from Bill's POV. I'm glad you were nagged into updating and I hope you'll carry on writing it. As for Bill realising he's different, I think he knows that he's not the same as other kids, especially since he has Tom to compare with, but I don't think the differences bother him too much because he's quite happy in his own world. He's loved, he has friends and he can express himself in his own unique way. Anyway, that's my take on things. I'm really looking forward to further updates.

Ok, the question wasnt how you should go on, but our perception of how it is already. Ok. I can review that.
It seems to me that he realizes he's different. He see,s to realizes he grows slowly, as you said in this chapter, comparing himself to a tree. But he doesn't seem to understand what that really means in a real way. At this point it doesn't look like he is terribly bothered by it, except for the way it relates to Tom not being able to be with him at school.
Oh god...just noticed the change in pairings...i had assumed when you said something in the end notes you went ahead and was going to put Tom in stuff... Im quiet worried now... Poor Bill, dont let him get too hurt.

I really like this story. Bill is just so sweet, and Tom takes care of him so well. I like the changes, and I'm interested to see where you go from here.
To answer your question, I think that Bill doesn't fully realize to what extent he is different...of course, I don't fully either because I'm too busy cooing over the adorableness. But I think he does notice that he is treated differently. I think a part of him wants to be treated like everyone else, being criticized for doing normal teenage boy things like Tom, but another part of him is just too innocent that I think he would be very unsettled to be reprimanded in such a way. I think he's trying to be like Tom and make him proud; he just doesn't quite know how to go about doing it. And I'm rambling...I don't even know if I make any sense, but it's 1:30 am so I can't be blamed...

Great chapter! Hoop you'll post more soon (;
Author's Response: Thanks for the review!

Well first off, I just wanna say how happy I was to see the update. This chapter was too sweet! Anyway, onto your question - I do think Bill sees he's different from kids his age, though I think it has to do more with the way he's treated than the way he sees himself. Like, how he has certain privaleges and rules than Tom who is his twin. Their parents most definately would have diffrent expectations for each son. Like Tom has rules for curfews and they probably worry about him partying, where they wouldn't worry about that sort of thing with Bill.

Umm,,I'm not sure i understand the question...if you mean how much should he realize he's different and how much he should care, I think he should be aware of it in an abstract way, and not really care too much at all.
Amazing update. I look forward to seeing the next part!
Author's Response: The question was basically: does Bill know he is "special" and if so, does the realization that he is special/different seem to effect/upset him? Maybe I'm looking at this story too analytically from an English major's standpoint. Reader interpretation just interests me ... a lot. Thanks for the review! :)

I agree with Bkaulitszs idea. I like the brotherly love and all but twincest is what it's all about! Bill should get surgery and get "normal" so the twincest may proceed. I can definetly see it happening. You call the shots. Loving it so far though, such detail darling!

Twincest? No way. You've already formed this big brother/little brother relationship with them, where Tom seems super protective of Bill. I think if Tom was to do anything like that with Bill, I'd sorta look at him as a bit of a monster. There are so many twincest fics, this one you've got going is a rare fic. It's very sweet and I think it's perfect the way it is. Great chapter by the way.
