Bill was cute and like him I liked the turtles in finding nemo.

I'm really loving this story. Tom is so sweet to Bill. I can see how you were inspired by the book. All the little details of Bill's life and the reactions of those around him are fascinating seen through Bill's eyes. I'm hoping you update soon.

Review for chapter 1 - I read that book a few years back. I have son with a learning disbility and when he was younger we thought he was autistic and he does have some autistic tendencies so i quite understand the whole wearing special clothes and doing things on a certain day because even now at 23 he has some compulsive behaviour even though he improved with age. I love that you've written this from Bill's POV so we get to see inside his mind. I'm going to read the other chapters and then review again.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I have an obsessive compulsive disorder, but that's unfortunately as much as I can relate with Bill and his tendencies. I also enjoy writing this from Bill's POV, because it's really unlike anything I've ever written before; and although it may seem like a breeze to write, I actually find it quite difficult since I have to keep up Bill's mindset and remember what words he would and wouldn't use, the things he would notice, etc. I'm glad you're enjoying the story so far!

OH MY GOD! I actually squealed out loud when I saw the update! I could have cried. This is by far my favourite current fic and I was sooo scared you'd given up on it!
I just thought this chapter was so cute, but at the end of the last chapter I was worried that something might go wrong, like Tom came home late so he couldn't watch it! I am so glad that everything went good for Billy! And it's super cute that he sleeps with a Simba teddy!

My favorite aspect of Bill's character is that he is so good natured. He seems to accept his limitations whereas my kids get very frustrated by it. They want to be accepted by their peers but because they are different and need extra help they are not. This compounds their social isolation. Luckily for Bill he has Tom and Scotty and a whole team of other supportive players. Keep up the good work!

Einstein never learned to tie his laces. They believe that he had Aspergers. You are doing an awesome job with this story. Aspies think differently and struggle just like Bill in this story but they can also be super intelligent and observe things that no neurotypical person could see.

I love this story so far. I also read the book "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time". It was a very good read. I also have two sons with Aspergers Syndrome so I totally get it. Bill's character is perfect! I'm sure we all agree that Bill is different. That's why we love him so much. You are doing an amazing job with this writing style. Thank you for writing it and I hope you are able to finish it eventually. I am very excited to see how it turns out.
Author's Response: I'm glad you're enjoying the story so far. I loved "The Curious Incident..." and I've really wanted to check out some more books about Aspergers/Autism because of it. All that when I finally have some free time ;). I'm sure I'm just as infatuated with Bill's character, specifically his attention to blunt details and his peculiar style of narration. This story reminds me sorta of the book 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time' where the narrator was an autistic teen boy. I loved that book and I love this story. I guess I love how Bill jumps from one subject to the next and then back again. I do that and it can get rather confusing during conversations. Great story so far.
Author's Response: This story was actually inspired while I was reading that book. I mentioned it in the notes for this story; but Bill doesn't have autism and his story is totally different from Christopher's, just letting you know. Thanks for the review! :D

I liked the moment in chapter 2 where the people sign Bill's yearbook, and Bill is glad they recognize how hard he works.
This chapter was very sweet! As is every chapter. Bill is very kind and innocent at heart, and it's so sweet to read. He's a gentle, understanding soul. Wonder what movie they'll watch! Hope Tom gets home safely; Bill's world will be crushed otherwise.

I also liked (even though it was sad) how Bill was made fun of by that other boy, but he didn't realize he was. Cause that's how it so often happens, in real life :(

My first reaction to the title was that ‘yes, talking is important’ :D which is usually a sentence that I would identify with gustav (for reasons obvious) and then I realised… Bill. Talking.
I had hiding-urges. Seriously.
On a serious note though, I’m still overly in love with ‘mysterious condition’-Bill and it only grew in this chapter when I heard him talk about Scotty and how he must be lonely. It’s a beautiful example of the way kids like him think. Not OUR way, just different. We are the ones that make it into something bad, most of the time. Because Bill really isn’t stupid (and if anyone does say that, I’ll gladly join your angry mob, if you please) he’s special in every sense of the world and you describe that wonderfully, to my opinion. Little things like him using the word ‘dialogue’, his science-project and the fact that he actually plans such things. It’s really cute and it kind of hurts when he says so innocently that people were surprised he’s able to do something ‘normal’.
Bill’s life seems really simple, yet it’s very interesting, also because Bill is so completely GOOD and pure and all that shit in everything he does. I think that’s what I like about him most.
It’s kind of nice, as opposed to all the angst and suffering Bill-characters usually go through. You know.
Anyway, great job, as per usual ;) looking foreward to the next update!

Ah thats okay, I just love it when people reply to my reviews so I get impatient, but I understand ^_^
I love how you described Bill's style and I can really imagine him all wrapped up for winter, and also I think graphic tees are the cutest thing ever! Also I love how Bill called his mum mummy, that is just tooo cute, as well as his favourite yellow duck shirt, and how he talks to his dog so he's not lonely! I love making my dog wag his tail, it makes me feel like he loves me c:
My favourite aspect about Bill's character is just how cute he is, also I think it's sooo adorable how he has a bedtime story! But it makes me sad that he thought Bobby Podmore was being nice, and that he thanked him. It makes me feel so sorry for him, but I guess what he doesn't know can't hurt him :c I can't waaaait for the next chapter!

I better put this out there before I forget; That Bobby Podmore is one hell of a morron.
That said, Oh my! I love how Bill will wait until Tom gets home to start the movie. It shows how his innocence somehow reflects on the way he's really faithful to everything Tom-related. It really is cute :) I'm so glad you'd decided to update this rather often as seeing I tend to get desperate with the stories I find myself drawn to :)
