Wow. I like that you gave both perspectives in this chapter, but the real star of the two was Tom's. His confusion and difficulty with remembering came through so well! I loved the way you described it as his whole mind being on the tip of his tongue, scooping water in a bucket with holes, and too tiring to be worth the effort. I love how you had Tom so unsure of so much, but so very sure of Bill being the center of his world, and that he loved him. I gues where you'll take this is that: Tom's amnesiatic inferences and assumtions actually point out the true underlying nature of their relationship that was there all along. That's my guess, anyways.
I LOVE that instead of taking the traditional route of an amnesia fic (i.e. who are you I don't remember you), you're giving it a unique, much more interesting twist, wherein the victim DOES remember, but just remembers incorrectly. Awesome.
Okay, and finally but also veeeery importantly, the way you wrote Bill's reactions after the kiss and Tom's assumption that they are lovers, was SPOT ON! Just so perfect and real. Not over done, not under done, completely realistic and exactly how I would imagine someone acting to such an event in real life. I mean, EXACTLY. It's rare that I find a writer protrying such a huge moment in a fic so satisfactorily, so congrats. Oh, and the way Tom was telling Bill his assumptions about their relationship was great too. Oh, and I loved the door "snicking" open. Great word.

Well I guess this answered my last review. He didn't know they were twins just that they were soul mates. Poor Bill. I can see how much he suffers. Does he go along with his true feelings and risk Tom's reaction when he gets his memory back, or does he avoid Tom for the rest of the week or until he gets his full memory back. I can't wait to find out. You know tomorrow is Thursday right?
Author's Response: Sometimes I can't say anything because it's spoilers. ;) Yes, to Tom it's still clear that they're soul mates, but he's forgotten everything else! Which makes it really painful for Bill. We shall see how they go from here!

OMG the confusion. I can't even imagine how it would be. Some things you don't remember, just you recognize only as emotions... How can you react to that?
I think it was nice move to write both Bill's and Tom's POV here. I feel sorry for both of them, but especially for Tom. I loved the way how strongly you described Tom's feelings towards Bill, everything being clear to him and how he clung to the only thing he relied on: his feelings for Bill. Only to find out that they were something there probably shouldn't be.
And yet, somehow all of this, this determination gave me hope about the future. :)

Thank you! I knew I had to write this story with both POVs, I couldn't keep Tom a mystery. He's definitely not faking it! For Tom, Bill is the only thing that exists, but he's seeing him as a person rather than as a twin.

I love it! This is fantastic. YOU are fantastic. I always get super excited when I see you've updated because I know that whatever you write it's going to be glorious.
But what's going to happen to the band now that Tom doesn't remember anything? They can't play shows if he can't remember the songs. Granted,that's probably not what they're worried about right now, but somebody has to be practical!

When you mentioned amnesia I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't this. Not that I'm complaining, though. Loving that Tom remembered Bill, even if not exactly who he is, but what he is to him. I have the feeling he will try to railroad any objections Bill might have to them being closer than just twins. I'll be looking forward to more. :) Thanks for making a shabby day much better with this update.
PS. Don't think I've forgotten kits or my FQF story, I just have been swamped by RL issues. *sighs*
