At first I just noticed how the chapters titles, one, two, ... just build tension (at least for me) and then I noticed there is a connection between the subtitles/comments of each chapter. I liked that very much, it adds poetry to drama and tension.
And I have to say I read this on two different devices, because I have to commute, and because in the mean time I advance with the reading on the other device,I get to read some chapters twice, I cannot seem to just let them pass and not read them a second time!!!
So cool.

And Tom is right about the pictures. They might not be the one we get to see, but one of them is almost always looking adoringly to the other. Personally I love that and I find it endearing. To see it written in a story is like a bonus and a confirmation.

Well, there are some signs that Tom is not forgetting quite everything. When he was in the first shock, he remembered Georg, and that was a long time memory, and something about the garbage bins, which was a recent memory. Maybe he will remember something about his time with Bill as lovers, and they will work it out together.
All this situation reminds me so much of The Notebook, except there is no terminal illness, but a temporary loss of memory due to injury.
Poor Bill, to get back the love of his life as a brother but to lose it as a lover...And to have all the guilt because he let everything happen. This is such a hard situation for him! And nowhere to go for comfort...
I really hope that Tom will remember something for the time as lovers, just to be able to make them both ignore the social barriers and be what they both want deep in their hearts.
As you said, there is no taboo subject between them, so this, as I can see it in this fic, can only be initiated and solved by Tom. Tom is the strong one, he sets the pace, even if we see Bill apparently getting his way all the time and Tom agreeing to it.
As I can see it, it only can come from Tom. Well, this is what I hope. You will do as you see fit for this fic. I keep my fingers crossed for Bill!
And I was so wrapped up in this, I was not able to properly review until now.
Author's Response: Very observant! ;) His memory came back to him gradually, not all at once like they have it in movies. It's really hard for him to lose his love even as he gets back his brother with full memories! And the person he would go to for comfort is the one he can't approach right now. You're right, in a way - it's definitely Tom who has to solve this. I'm really pleased you were so wrapped up in it, thank you!

I love this I love this I love this a thousand and one times over. Such magnificence, so sweet and perfectly written and omg I really so adore your Bill character. I'm also, for some reason, so curious about this other sexual escapades. Idk why haha, I always want to know what authors think of Bill's sexual experiences because to me, he's not an overly sexual person, or we don't get to see that side of him at least. Oh anyway, I got sidetracked, I guess I'm curious about the root of Tom's jealousy xD I know it's not an important plot device xD
uhh, sleep calls all too strongly now. So I must depart! I know tomorrow' lunch break will bring more good twin amnesia stories though :D

Oh back from my evening travels and ohhhh my this is the best thing to return to (n_n) This was so so sexy. I was wondering what it'd be like because although Tom is Tom, he kind of isn't, too. Aww, I'm glad that that song made Tom remember. I'm sad that he forgot their time together though. It's kind of crazy, the 180 his personality did, haha. (Have you read the Sookie Stackhouse books [the ones TrueBlood is based off of?] it reminds me of when Eric lost his memory and then again when he got it back, but didn't remember his time with Sookie. It was a complete 180 then too, lolz)
ANYWAYS, I hope Tom remembers soon, I don't know how much of Bill's heartbroken demeanor I can take. More soon soon soon please!

Author's Response: The song definitely triggered his memory! I haven't read the Sookie Stackhouse books, but the memory is certainly a strange thing...those kinds of situations can happen, though I don't think it's so cut and dried.

Oh Bill does, he really does! Tom is so good, he's either cracked or is about to. God I love this, I don't want to stop. uuuuhhh rl life just piss off. I've never read an amnesia fic, I can't say it's ever appealed to me but this is interesting indeed. I love Bill's character in particular in this, I just adore how you've written him. This was such an interesting, heartbreaking but also clever chapter. I loved the intensity of cold shower Bill got, because the heartbreak he must be feeling now is surely enormous. He can't pretend it never happened (at least not to himself) because his heart, body and soul would never let him forget that nirvanesque feeling of wholeness he had experienced with Tom. Somehow I think that also Tom must start sensing what had happened between Bill and himself.... I mean he slipped back to his "old himself", not remembering anything, but "new Tom" left enough clues to know what he truly must be feeling deep inside. And that must be coming back, in one form or another. His body must remember!!! The way you wrote this story let me believe that those two are made for loving each other in all ways there is to love. It may take time but I am sure it works out in the end. RIGHT????
On the other hand... I love the angst so I wouldn't mind more of this uncertainty:-)))
