Awwwww this was just omg yes! As soon as i read that it was 2015 i was like OMG how sweet, and then the letter... it was perfect because they started off by writing letters together, so awww there was really no better way! And the bit where Tom steps towards him and then goes down on his knees, i was seriously here with tears in my eyes it was so beautiful! Aww!! I'm so sad this was over, because it was such a cute little fluffy story. I will say when i read the summary and first chapter i thought it was gonna be proper angsty and full of drama and stuff with Tom being in Afgahn. But it didn't really matter because i still loved it anyway and the idea of a soldier Tom is just mmmmmmhmm. :D -tascha

That was soooo fucking good, i literally went "OOF" out loud.
So cute about the bit with Gus saying he was gonna marry his girlfriend too. And when Tom phoned Bill i had little hearts in my eyes! :3

Oh God i swear this could be a hollywood movie, the storyline is so golden! *hearts in eyes emoji* Damn i really cant wait to hear more about Tom's life over there and what it's like for him, since the way you've described some things, you seem to know a bit about it. I wish Tom could get a surprise trip home for his birthday, and meet Bill. But i mean i know it's a bit early in the story to start planning that all out yet, so i'll be patient. :D
Author's Response: a guy i work with is basically the real life tom lol he was a marine and his job sounded so cool so that's the job i gave tom. all the job-specific/marine details are real.

Just started to read this and i'm really intrigued by the storyline since it's really original- not ready any fic like it on here before. And i like Georg's character already- of course it's always usually Tom the man whore in fics but obviously not as fitting here haha but it's good because it gives Geo some more dimension i think. Idk if it's just me, but in the fics i've read (i say that like it's not a lot haha) the G's are always kind of background characters, rather than with as much dimension as T+B, so i like this. 'Scuse the ramble, but what i wanted to say was - good work so far! :D I'm interested to hear more about Tom.

Ohhhhhhh! This was the cutest ever, oh my god! That letter, it was the cutest thing ever, I was squealing so loud, you have no idea. My feelings!
This whole story was exactly what I needed, I've had some really crappy days and I've been angry at the whole world, but this story has been making me smile so much, and I'm so sad it's over because now I need to find something new that's happy and fluffy and cute to read. But god, this ending was P.E.R.F.E.C.T. I LOVED IT! The whole story! Omg!
Wonderful job! I can't believe it took me this long to read it but I'm so glad I finally did! I loved every single chapter!

And there's not many chapters left, I'm torn between keep reading to get to know what will happen, and to drag it out for a bit longer so it won't end already. Good thing I have lots to do today so I can't actually read as much as I normally would. I haven't read something that I've loved this much in ages, so I kind of want it to never end haha!

Okay, I'm the kind of reader that gets sucked into the good stories and I cry, laugh, giggle, yell etc at them while reading, and when I read this, I squealed "omg he's there!!" out loud, making my sister stare at me like I'm an idiot.. Yeah, she better get used to it since we're getting an apartment together soon.
Anyways, back to the story, this was brilliant! So, so brilliant, and I love Tom even more now, he seems so sweet, surprising Bill like that. Awe, I love this, it's so cute!
