Aw, this makes me want to have a soldier pen pal. But I don't know if stuff like that is still going on. People keep talking about troops being gradually pulled out. Though... I do have a friend of a friend who was deployed recently. Heck, I don't know what to think. I would love to provide a sense of normalcy for someone who needs it, though.
Tom's a corporeal... I think that's like the first promotion you get from being a private/newbie, hehe.

Bill Trumper and his entire Government class groaned at the words printed at the top of the handout their teacher had just given them. -- Aww, but pen pals are fun! In elementary school (I forget which grade) we had a pen pal system with a school several cities over. Me and her had girly fun decorating our letters with highlighters and stickers :D Ah, memories.
Come to think of it... when I was in high school we made care packages for soldiers. Not letters, but oh well. Yeah, that really felt good :)

As for this one, I liked Tom's last line, and Krispy Kremes are pretty good. Not my fav, but they're good when they haven't been sitting out for a good while XD

I really feel like I'm getting to know Bill and Tom at the same time they're getting to know each other, which is cool! Author's Response: actually i knew i wanted shorter hair bill long before i thought about a banner, but then i remembered that picture of him sitting on the floor somewhere writing something and i went on a mission to find that picture cuz i knew it'd be perfect!
