Question, and I apologise if this has been addressed and I've missed it; Bond mates remain human, correct? So the Strigoi will mostly outlive them. Or am I entirely missig it?

Nope, you're right, I haven't mentioned that yet ... but never fear, it shall be discussed a bit later ... in about five chapters time ... which is a bit later than I thought. I was trying not to do an info dump ... but I think possibly I should have included that pertenant piece of info a little earlier :D

I just read this over on lj but I thought I'd comment here.
I was really looking forward to finding out how Bill would react to the bond... And I think you've handled it really well. I'm glad that he didn't accept it completely immediately, that there was still some doubt and confusion in his mind about the whole thing.
He was torn between clinging to Tom, asking Tom to make it go away and staying as far away from Tom as possible so he didn't have to feel it.
I think that sentence summed up everything for me. The turmoil he is feeling is very nicely described.
I think he'll come around though, with everyone around him being so accepting of it. I loved how matter of fact Simone was about the whole thing!
I also loved the reaction of the twins to the feeding. I've always loved vampires and the sensuality surrounding their myth. So I especially like the idea of that the process of feeding would be arousing for the both of them.
Can't wait to see what happens when Bill meets the ancient strigoi. I'm glad he decided to be brave about meeting them.
Oh, and I absolutely loved the outfits they were wearing and Bill's reaction to Tom's insecurity. I would love to see Bill dressed like that!
In short, I adore it and I can't wait for more ♥
Author's Response: Thank you :). I didn't want Bill accepting the bond too quickly either, especially since it's probably freaking him out on more than one level. As for him coming round to it ... this is me, romantic extrodinaire ... I think you can pretty much guaruntee it ;).rnrnI fell in love with vampires watching The Lost Boys and the whole Michael/Star pairing was so lovely, and then on to Dracula with the Count and Mina, so the sensuality is always a bit part of the legend for me. When writers make their vampire yucky and basically dead, I always feel so cheated :).rnrnI have to admit to enjoying playing dress-up with Bill in this one :)

OMG THIS IS INCREDIBLE. story where hath you been? The way you started this story ...omg the introductory was just pure brilliance. I had my heart beating as if something was coming after me. I like the part about how Tom felt like he had a bucket of cold water dumped on him. I always imagine that whenever something is going on btwn the twins, be it good or bad, that something powerful overcomes one of them, letting them know that something is up.
Crap. I can hear my parents outside. We are leaving back to my house. My net is out so I probably won't be able to read this story till later. I hope it'll be back up tomorrow. *makes sad face*

Guh! This is so good.
I love the sexual tension between them, and I'm happy to see it going both ways now. I hope that the tension continues to build a little bit before they give in to it.
I wasn't sure I liked Syb at first. She seemed a little too good and a little too perfect, but I'm starting to like her more.
I find most of the character interaction and emotion very believable, which is great considering the situation itself is unbelievable.
I'm really looking forward to finding out what sort of powers Bill has. I hope they aren't too over the top. Subtle vampire powers have always been my favorite. I can totally see Bill having powers of persuasion, such as the ability to supernaturally manipulate an audience, command attention, influence people etc. Oh wait, he already does that. XD
Author's Response: Thank you :).rnOh yes, the sexual tension is going to be there for a little while yet ::g::.rnSyb is old and wise, but no where near perfect :). The problem is we only see her from Bill and Tom's perspective, so they're isn't really a lot of room to explore her flaws, but rest assured, she doesn't know everything and can't fix Bill with a batting of her eyes :).rnYou'll have to wait and see about Bill's power(s) ... and you're right, he doesn't need a whole lot of help with the commanding an audience bit :D

I must say one thing to you! Normally I'm not into AU stories, but this one is really great. The whole strigoni thing? Is it something you've made up by yourself or? Anyways, just wanted to tell you that your writing skills are great and I'm looking forward to read a lot more of this story..

I researched Strigoi and came up with Eastern European after death stuff, some of which mentioned vampires and then I have taken choice bits of lots of vampire law and made some stuff up too :). As for the story, the UST is killing me. I adore it, such pretty poison. I hope Bill realizes his feelings are natural, and kudos to Tom for making sure that Bill is always feeling comfortable and safe. Big Brother Tomi to the rescue!
