Author's Response: I made them so close because a trend that I and my friend who I wrote this for have seen is that in all stories with similar plotlines both of the main characters either meet for the first time within the story or they dislike each other at first. I thought it would be a nice detail if they already knew each other very well and for a very long time :)

Author's Response: Yay, I'm so glad you liked it XD I was trying to convey that loving someone can really make you mature and grow as a person and sometimes it can be very, very difficult so I dragged it out as much as I possibly could. Yeowch. Poor Bill and poor Tom. They're been through so much, each of them. It's like by the time one of them finished reading, the other turned the page. ... so that they're never on the same page but pretty close to. Does that make sense?
Author's Response: No, I definitely understand what you mean. They're basically finding out what the other has been feeling. Bill getting to experience what Tom has known for years, and Tom suddenly knowing what it's like to unwillingly cause inevitable pain to someone who is close to you.
