Oh dude this was so good. I love Jost and love the fact that he was a good guy in this because he only ever seems to be the bad guy in fics. And especially that it was Tom rather than Bill for a change. I love how you write about Tom, not only in this fic but in the Samy Deluxe one as well. Don't know what exactly but something about it just how it's different from the usual Tom portrayed in fics. I like BotTom. Anyway, yes, so good!

I really liked to write from Tom's perspective. I've always thought his joking and bravado was a cover and I liked to delve into what that might be. I'm happy that it works for you! :)

This is a paring I find very difficult to see in any other way than as on the edge of abuse, Tom being still a teenager, dreadlocks and wangsta image. There was always a little forbidden, hot, but also disturbing feeling in that.
Now I read Tom as an adult (based on braids?) and I have to re-check my views to the relationship between him and David. It's not easy, but it was interesting to do so - especially when it was so adult (in a way) struggling with something out of the hands of teenagers. This was an adult relationship to me.
Very interesting and I'm actually happy that you wrote this, because it challenged me to see Tom/David in a whole new light. Sensual and mature.
Author's Response: This is an amazing...absolutely amazing thing to read. I had only really seen stories of David abusing Tom, but love is unpredictable. You never know who you're going to love, what color they will be, how old they will be. You can narrow those prospects down by only associating with certain people, but in the end, you won't know who it will be until you're in it, and May-December romances like this do happen. It's incredible to me that, by writing something like this, I was able to help you see something like these two completely differently. That's a huge compliment and I thank you so, so much for reading and sharing your thoughts with me. Thanks again. ♥

I've never thought about shipping David and Tom before this. But now I can imagine it lol. I thought this was sweet.
Author's Response: Most of the stories I had seen pairing David with either of the boys, the story was mostly about David taking advantage of them or something. Oh, this is so...so sad! I can't imagine Bill of all people not understanding love. What an incredibly wrenching vignette.
Author's Response: it seems so out there to him and something that he feels Bill just wouldn't understand...or worse yet, would think disgusting. Tom should absolutely know better than to think Bill wouldn't accept anything Tom wants!

Jost/anybody has always been a bit of a squick of mine. Except from occasionally with Bill because I like Bill/pretty much anyone (male). But you know I can't resist your stuff. This was such a gorgeous snap shot. It really captured something, something I would definitely love to see more of (I NO, WHAT AM I SAYING?!) But I really really felt this, especially all Tom's emotions. This was a really lovely little shot! I loved it :)
