That beliefs thing really hit a sore one! My catholic parents are having a hard time accepting my CHRISTIAN beliefs. I mean they are not that different! I just don't believe in the Saints, Mary, doing the sign of the cross and using memorized prayers. But in the end it is the same God! The sad part is, my own parents want mto take me away from a progressing relationship with Him.
Author's Response: It's such a horrible feeling when your parents don't agree or accept your way of living, religion or sexuality. My aunty is hated by some of her own family because of her sexuality and we are not even a religious family. I just don't see how someone can hate their own family because of something that they can't control or something that they believe is right. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I think that parents need to accept that we are exposed to a world of multiple sexualities and religions so it is up to us to find the one best fit for us.rn
