I think i just died with relief. Or from relief. Either way, it was a great death. I just felt all the air "whoosh" out of my chest. Damn.
I'm a little disappointed with the shortness of the chapter, and I'm a little confused. Does that mean its four years "earlier" now? And what about that night they were drunk together? What really happened after that then? If Tom didnt leave, how did he get over the fact that he went to far...
Well, better to be confused about tid bits than angry and dying a cold hard death. ^^'

Chapter 23 made me cry. I read it, then read it again while listening to In Die Nacht. And really, if a story can make you cry like that, it's great.
