Wonderful story! I like the structure of narrative: The escalating disaster of Tom's personal life that turned out to be a bad dream but taught him an invaluable lesson. Love the emotional roller coaster, love the boys and love them together. Great story!!!

It's been ages and you probably won't read this, but I feel like it's way time I left a review here. I've come back to read Recessional again and again (and again) since I first read it so many years ago, it's just that good :') Also because the Vienna Teng song comes up on my iTunes and it automatically reminds me of this fanfic.
I love how tangible the frustration is in the twins' tense relationship, and my heart would break reading about them trying to fix what broke between them. I always, ALWAYS end up crying when Bill finally shows up for the wedding because I'm just so relieved - and then I cry even harder at all the advice he gives to Tom on how to treat Vanessa well and be a good husband ;_; because it's so bittersweet and full of defeat and I just want to yell at the world for being unfair, argh. And how you don't actually describe the ceremony, just 'Bill watches Tom get married', makes everything so sad and final and poignant omg.
You're an amazing fanfic writer, please don't ever stop, okay? x

I've read the story many times before, but I've never leave a comment. Sorry for being a stalker but today, when my mp3 suddenly turned to "recessional", I thought I had to visit this site and at least leave a comment. Seriously, I was kind of scare, because, the song brought up so many memories since I read this at different times and I felt sad. I cried so hard when Tom said Bill was the best thing that would never happen to him. I don't know, but you're great. I've never cried over a TH fiction before at that time. And this story also was my first TH fic ever.
Just wanna say thank you for posting it up and gave a chance to read this. I love you!!
