This story made me cry! I have a fraternal twin brother, I'm a girl. We fight ALL the time. But if this were to happen. I'd cry myself to my own death. I also want to die with my brother. He's like my second half. If I ever lose him. I'd die in an instant. This story really was touching.

Author's Response: I'm glad that it touched you. :) I have a sister though she's only half, has never lived with me, and is 12 years older than me, I still love her to death and really look up to her.. I'd love to have a twin but maybe that's just because I've never really had a sibling. Appreciate him and make sure he knows it, even if only once in a while. :)

Even though I'm Canadian and not American I can still remember that day and exactly where I was and what I was doing when I heard the news. I watched the television in horror at the sights I was seeing and the sounds I was hearing. I thought I was dreaming and that I would wake up and life would go on. But even if life went on, a little bit of our childlike innocence was gone never to return.
This was a wonderful story and I'm so glad you concentrated on the miracles that happened that day. I offer my condolences and heartfelt prayers to anyone who lost someone on that day. Peace be with you all. b29;b29;

Author's Response: I really don't know how to respond to this except thank you. :)

I cried during the dream! This was really well written.

Author's Response: Thank you very much! I hate to sound cruel, but I'm happy you cried. :) It means I did my job right. :P

oh my....all day, i've been thinking of this. i haven't watched anything on the news because it would just ruin me. but this story....it just made me remember it all. how horrible it was. and i feel so bad, like, SO BAD, for all those who had to die like this. Because of this. I sincerely send out blessings and love and comfort to all those that the victims have left behind. i really, really do. and i'm glad Tom made it out, but so many people didn't....it's heartbreaking, to say the least. utterly soul-crushing.

Author's Response: Well I'm sorry that it brought you down but I think it's for that exact reason that we can't forget about what happened. I tried to focus on the miracle situations where people managed to get out and see their families again. I just couldn't bring myself to write a loss story... :'(

I observed the virtual moment of silence from 8:46 to 10:28 am. Been thinking about what that day felt like.

And this was a nice story :) I was super afraid there was going to be major character death (which some people don't mark), but it was good.

Author's Response: I thought about it but decided, "Nope. This is going to be a story of the miracle of those who got out to see their family again." Plus I think it's a bit of a **** move to have something like that and not mark it. This was my way of attempting to bond with those directly associated with the tragedy. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

I seriously have tears in my eyes. This was beautiful. And whether or not you thought it was your best, it did justice. I loved it.

Author's Response: Thank you, sweetie. :) I really wanted to do just that.
