I really like Tom's character. More often then not you see one of two 'Tom's'...either the 'jerk' Tom, who needs to protect his reputation and treats Bill, and anyone else for that matter, like shit. Or you see the loveable loser Tom, who has some kind of emotional and or physical issue, that causes him to be at the bottom of the social food chain. But I like that your Tom has friends and seems pretty well adjusted, yet is very nice towards Bill. I wish I could see more Tom's like this. Anyway, I'll stop rambling. Great chapter!

Wonderful chapter. I loved Tom thanking his parents while staring at his 'worn trainers'. I dunno why, but that just seemed kind of adorable beyond all reason.
The belief in God thing was....wow.
Somehow, I didn't care much for the doctor, but well, its a side character soo... And that really kinda is how they tend to be now that I thikn about it...
