Wanted to get your reviews up to 100, always enjoy reading your stories. I like the realism in the dialogue of this story, and the romanticism of being set at a ski resort.

yay, happy ending. What a great story. And I am so glad that Nathan is history. The guy was really getting on my nerves. I'm glad that Bill saw exactly who he really was.

What a jerk? what does Bill see in that prick. I'd break up with him. It's simple 'Nathan I am getting tired of this crap with you, we are breaking up.' Its just that simple.

I'm glad to have changed your outlook on life. And to have bettered your fic that you spent numerous hours and an exorbitant amount of effort into writing. I can always see these flaws because I am so pancake flipping awesome.
Bow before your superior, you non-skiing whelp!
Author's Response: Thank you for changing my life. I have the feeling you are extremely knowledgeable in many different subjects, would it be okay if I emailed you to run ideas by you for my stories? I want to be sure I don't make such monumental mistakes again. I really think that you could mold me into a better writer, maybe into the next Stephanie Meyer. Please I need your guidance.

Um so like I was varsity captain on like ski team for like four years at my ultra exclusive private high school called Deerfield, so I'm like awesome and stuff. Some might even date to say that I'm the Queen of Skiing. I may not be in the Winter Olympics but its just because I'm far too good and it wouldn't be fair to the other competitors.
So like being like captain, of ski team mind you, I know everything about skiing. Like how you totally don't use your arms to balance, pivot, mark, or for timing. I mean once you get to a certain level, to the point where you look behind you and your skis only leave ONE trail instead of two, then you don't need poles anymore. Which I could do in two years mind you because I'm like the captain of ski team. And I went down a Black Diamond with moguls at Alta my first time skiing because I was like "Eh bunny hill fuck it!" True story. TRUE STORY. It must be because I'm so awesome...oh and did I mention the captain of the ski team?
Author's Response: Wow, you must be really proud of yourself. I'm so envious of you right now cause I can't ski at all. I just suck at life. I feel like I've really missed out now that you put it that way, and I'm determined to better myself just by reading your wonderful review. Thanks so much for educating me. I bow at your greatness.

This was... I dunno. I can imagine the relationship part of this happening, but I find it really hard to imagine some of the other stuff. Like the bad instructions Nathan gave Bill (I've found that no matter how bad people are at teaching, if they're pretty good at what they're trying to teach, they tend to give correct information, even if it's confusing), and Gustav's line about the food being wasted (if it's snowing, that means it's probably cold enough to keep perishables refrigerated). Still, it was obviously well thought out, and it was a compelling read. I never really think about the shit I write (that's why I suck at multi-chapter stuff XD) and writing in a compelling way is REALLY hard. Good job ^-^

depending on when dinner is, that's not possible unless they got a night lift ticket and a day lift ticket. The day ends at exactly four o'clock, so...ANYWAY! This chapter was really good. There were a few typos (you forgot the H in his near the end, and other little things like that), but generally your grammar and spelling was really good, and has been for the whole story so far. I can't WAIT (and am not going to XD) to see what Nathan does when he finds Bill not in his bed in the morning. I hope Bill breaks up with him. That'd be... *sigh* perfect XD
Author's Response: After receiving this review I took a look at a few skiing resorts, including one in my area and many of them sell only all day passes that are good for the entire day until they close at 10pm or later. But again, this is fiction, my ski resort could be on the moon and open 36 hours a day and it would be indisputable because it's fiction. I'm happy that you're enjoying the story though.

I really like this story - it's interesting. I do have several critiques, though. First, and most important: check your facts. I have no clue if the stuff you said about snowboarding was true or not, but I do know for a FACT that the stuff about skiing wasn't true. I've been skiing since I was eight, and there are several things that are pretty basic rules: One, NEVER cross your skis. The way to stop (for a beginner, anyway) is to angle your skis so that they look kinda like a pizza (it's called snowplow). If your skis cross, it can damage the edges, and that's really bad for them. Also, skiing doesn't incorporate your arms all that much. Yeah, it's better not to flail, but it's not that bad unless you're already unbalanced. One thing that was definitely true: Wide stance is HORRIBLE for skiing. When I first started, that was the reason I fell more than half the time: my skis got too far apart when I was snowplowing down the hill XD One thing I DO know about snowboarding, though (even though I've never done it), is that, unlike skiing, if you can't turn, you can't control your speed (unless you keep coming about to sit, so that you're basically sliding down the hill). Because of that, I don't think Bill would go down the bunny slope before learning how to turn. Now, notes apart from the snow sports stuff XD I find it very unlikely that Bill stayed with someone who was demanding and an inconsiderate asshole for more than a month. I know for a fact that I wouldn't be able to deal with that for more than a month, even if, in the beginning, I'd liked that he was straightforward. Still, the transition from "here's this guy I'm dating who I don't really like anymore, but here's this other guy who's really hot and seems sweet" to "here's this guy I'm dating who I REALLY don't like, but here's this other guy who's hot and sweet and caring and I think I'm gonna go for him instead" is really good so far ^-^
Author's Response: Thanks so much for taking the time to review. I did do a lot of research on skiing and snowboarding and asked people I knew had experience with both. I had Nathan give Bill misinformation on purpose, to show that he wasn't as great at everything as he thought he was. To show that it was instructor error and not Bill that cause his problems with skiing. I'm sure you know that as with anything, if you start out with the bad habits they become ingrained and hard to correct. The great thing about fiction is that people can act in ways you think are uncharacteristic, especially in fan fic. Bill is whoever I want him to be as the author and that's a nice thing. He is someone who really wants to give this guy a chance and not throw their relationship away.
