Dear lord Jesus Christ, this was amazing. I'm crying. Literally sobbing. This story was amazing. Beautifully written and seven different kinds of perfect. You are an amazing writer. This is definitely one of the best stories I've read on this site. Amazing. I look forward to reading what you write next.

First of all I'm sorry because I'll only leave one review. Because if I leave reviews for every chapter I'll end up getting annoyed at myself. XD

Then, thanks for sharing this wonderful piece with us. It is beautiful and something you don't read everyday. This is one of the best I have read. It's meaningful and even if there were some flaws in it, that made it more interesting and worth reading, (I read it for three hours straight actually.)

The way you built up Bill's character is exceptional, he's not perfect but I think he's perfectly flawed. He was broken but not the usual 'broken' that fiction makes their characters out to be. He has cracks on the edges but not enough for him to be a complete nutcase. But those cracks made him seem strong and a beautiful person. Because no matter how much those cracks are and no matter how many pieces there is to him, he's not some ragdoll that would just kill himself just because no one wants him. It was the final straw but I think you managed to let him have more than just that.

I also love how the story progressed and how Tom saw everything beneath the haze of popularity.

But the one I loved most was Gustav's character. He wasn't always there and he didn't do much to affect the story but he's like that one bit that seems unnecessary unless you see how important it is that there's this one character that is there for Bill without being connected to any other strings. Because that's how it should be. There are people who doesn't have to come with glitter and fireworks but the small things he does are things that would make the story less fairytale-ish.

And I think the last few chapters were amazing. Because it's not all sunshine and daisies and 'I love yous' and 'I'm sorry' would not be enough everytime. In real life people need to heal and that the other one doesn't have to die and be a martyr for them to have a happy ending.

Over all, I think this story is just wonderful. It's not perfect but sometimes the flaws make it better and not just plain old perfect.

Author's Response:

I don't mind one review. One long review is better than a bunch of short ones, I think, because you can say things all at once. Thank you so much for this one, I'm glad you got all of this out of it. It's very flawed, in my opinion, but I'm still very happy with it.

rn

I would like to direct you, if you see this response and are interested, to a link in the chapter notes of the epilogue - a link to my Tumblr where I have a post explaining things that were left out or not explained in detail. It might clear things up.

I'm following Star of David and so, I was really wanting to read your BB fic. I get the feeling, just by finishing this chapter, that I'm going to like it a lot.
