Hey! I think I spotted a name swap error... when the alarm goes off.... “Georg, I have to get Tom and his friend off the hopper and then I’ll be up.” Tom squawked and shook his head. Wouldn't that be Bill squawking, and not Tom?
I'm really happy that Gustav gets to go to Tokio too. Having two different humans there, and thus two different povs, makes it all the more interesting.
This won't be a cop-out, and I won't be disappointed! In the end, you're the authoress so whatever you say, goes. I respect that.
Author's Response: I KNOW! The banner is absolutely perfect -- just how I imagined the boys in this story! I wanna roll around in the banner, I love it so! I'm happy you agree with "grey." I learned that alien conspiracy theorists use the term "greys" to describe the most "common" type of alien that abducts and probes humans. :X They are the creepy-looking ones with huge eyes and no noses and grey skin. I never knew there were different classes of alien abductions... I'm investigating the name swap, and I think I did mean Tom because he heard Bill say he was going up, so he shook his head as "No, don't go." Hmm, that is confusing. Lemme see if I can fix. Poor Gustav; talk about unwilling alien abductions. I'm still so nervous to post the rest of this. I don't wanna let you down! You don't have to respect me in the morning! (P.S. It looked to Gustav like his mind was a million miles away. Because it was. I think that even though Gustav is disbelieving and rough, he's a really good friend. He was concerned about Tom, stopped Tom from jumping, listened to Tom's story, and even asked about Tom's rectal sphincter. That's a good friend.
Tom really appreciated it, since he spilled it all and even told a joke after it was over. That end sentence about Tom squeezing the underwear was perfect, I think. Instead of just telling us "Tom won't forget and it'll take him time to get over it," you just showed us with that simple action. Lovely!

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't go to Gustav for counseling if I was depressed. Tom showed more restraint that I would have in not punching him or walking out. But, he is concerned in his own way; he just doesn't know how to express it.
