Gah. ;___; This story is turning me into a pile of mush. It's so good! So original and fantasy sci-fyey, and I just love it. D: YOU ARE MY HERO. LOL. I can't wait to see what happens when he finally does go through the door. :o All the danger that may lurk! Oh and I think another reason i love this story so much is because it reminds me of "A Great And Terrible Beauty" by Libba Gray. I don't know if you've read it before but the concept of him not being able to eat the fruit reminded me of it.

Wonderful chapter. Though, after I saw the manip, I am changing my calling Tom's home a hub, to calling it their Love Nest. Totally looks like a nest, and I expect them to be getting some lovin' on in there soon.
And gusti makes an appearance, kind of. I'm sure we will get more o him next chapter.
I'm glad we have a few answers, but why Bill did you not think to ask if Tom could come to your side where it is safe? Or does that make too much sense for your character?

What in heavens name is the deal with that fruit? It makes me want some too, but oh no, apparently it's some kind of forbidden magic fruit.
I loved the tree huts being big spheres, like wooden bubbles suspended in the tree canopy. That's so cool to imagine! Those manip artworks by LillithValo are fucking awesome. And your invented words are cool! Snooblets is so fun.
I love Bill and how he trips over his own tongue. He has filter issues, for sure. And screaming issues. He just gets excited, huh! So adorable.
