What is amazing me most at the moment is how you've managed to make this totally believable. I am not one for faerie stoeries (couldn't resist the spelling)or fantasy hijinks, but I actually am finding myself not reading with a snarky twist of disbelieving disdain to my mouth. I know I do that when reading David Eddings, you know...as if one could actually surf sunbeams. I mean, come on. But this provokes more of the dumbfounded half-smile I wear when reading Tolkien.
Oh, and I want one of those tree-bubbles. With an elly-va-tor of course, because Engel does not climb trees. Just sayin'.

I fucking love your humor. When Georg says "we'll be eating fried lizard tonight" and Tom crinkles his nose saying "that's gross, brother"... or when Bill talks to that lizard... first thing when Bill sees it, is that he says: "oh...shit" and the lizard simply says: "...hi" I'm just laughing so hard at all this. It's sexy, sweet, exciting and funny. It's like you just know how to mix it all up and make it perfect!

Can I just say WOW!? + I laughed several times as I read this chapter. First when Bill spoke about Twilight and Tom had no idea what it was but he knows about Pokémon and that is so cute. Also when Tom talked about 'Larreus' and Bill mumbled what a stupid name that was. I could totally imagine Bill's confused face as he was getting dragged by Tom, while mumbling to himself "That's a stupid name..." xD lmao, this is so great!
