Wonderful chapter. The doting done by Martha was very sweet, but I'm a little lost on the time of day the chapter is set. I thought they left the lookout point just after dark, whch would coincide alright with there being a stew on the stove and Demon being in bed, but then you sent them outside to wath clouds and see grass, which would be difficult at night...
Awww bill's thought process is so cute. All childlike and naive, can you really blame Tom for loving it?...sea urchin balls and coral-esque grass...Why is the ocean blue. Because there is water in it. That was always a good enough answer to me.
Can't wait to see what new adventure they are going to go on! Keep up the fabulous work
Author's Response: Remember how, in the previous chapter, Tom mentioned the sun was rising? It's early morning now, somewhere between 7 and 8am - assuming they needed some time to drive back home. And said stew isn't a "real" stew yet, it's still cooking :p Being that Tom has royal blood and all that, I imagined they would have their meals rather early at the house, so lunch would have to be ready and served between 11-11:30am. Hence Martha already getting it started, while the lazy obnoxious demon was still snoring.
That "because there's water in it" justification was something I loved to brag about as a child, so I really had to put it in somewhere :p
