I actually found this by seeing Gordon's Dilemma on the recents page, haha. I'm super impressed! The only thing is...wouldn't the tape be in German? I was under the impression they spoke in their native tongue when they were alone. And then it can all be put down to 'mistranslation' and couldn't be used as blackmail! :D You know, in a perfect world.
Author's Response: Thanks for another review. Glad you're enjoying it. Good point about the language...which I didn't even think about. That's the problem with writing and posting in chapters. With a book you can go back over and edit the shit out of the whole thing once its finished and correct any anomalies, but once a chapter is posted and its been read by folks you can't really change your mind and amend it. Once Gordon's Dilemma is finished I think I'll try and write my next story from start to finish before posting so I can double check it for mistakes and change stuff if I don't like it before it goes out to my public...LOL!!! Anyway, having thought about the language thing, I don't think there could be that much of a mistranslation. After all, German isn't some obscure language; I'm pretty sure there's enough competent translators out there who'd get the full meaning. Besides, the point is, that the publicity around the release of the files could be devastating, arousing suspicion even if they were later proved to be false because people would always wonder, and the twins just can't afford that kind of attention especially now their relationship really is twincestuous. Author's Response: Thank you so much for reviewing. Actually much of this story was a surprise to me too as it took on a life of its own and unfolded as I wrote it. I've never actually read it right through from start to finish so wonder how it reads to someone new. There is a sequel in progress called Gordon's Dilemma if you're interested. It was intended to be a couple of chapters to tie up loose ends but has now grown to 13 chapters so far, and once again it's developing chapter by chapter although I have some clue where its heading. Hey Helen. I just saw you updated on "Gordon's Dilemma" and was going to start reading it but realized it was a squal to this. I know it's just the first chapter but I love Bill and Tom's relationship in this, lke when Bill was upset and put the necklace back and then Tom -feeling like he needed to make it up to Bill- went back and bought the whole display. I love that, and I think it's because it's so different than my Bill and Tom. I'm not sure why you always leave such nice compliments on my smashed series, you're an awesome writer. If I remember I think you told me you got a book published... I'm pretty sure it was you anyway. Anyway, I just wanted to finally read something of yours and I'm definately glad I chose to. Just realized you'd posted the rest of the story (I'll send you an email with all the boring details of what's been keeping me busy).
Loved the second to last chapter. That Bill is damaged and isn't going to get completely better any time soon. Nice realism! Yes, Tom will help heal the wounds, but love isn't a magic "kiss the boo-boo make it go away" pill. You show the start of the repair nicely, with Bill allowing Tom's touch, but also keep it obvious that they've got a long road to travel. The poison of what they'd gone through isn't going to just evaporate because Bill and Tom love each other and kiss and stuff. It was interesting to see the damage left behind.
As for the last chapter, ugh, my stomach dropped. I think Simone's pretty twisted for wanting to hear the entire tape. I know she's in shock and desperate for answers, but wow, she should have smashed that thing to pieces! I guess it's hard to imagine her listening to the boys' confessions and detailed sexual discussion. BUT it was interesting that this story did not have a happy ending! Tom and Bill might patch up their wounds eventually, but the new wounds are still to come. The seeds of disaster were planted, and the fall-out is obviously nowhere near an end.
Thank you for crafting such an intricate tale, and for finishing it. It was wonderful to read. I especially love the flaws of the characters, and how this strayed from the usual formula of Bill/Tom falling in love. They don't have wonderful sex, and the dark emotional smears added to their new relationship by the rape are only going to push the possibility further away. The story wasn't clean and happy, although you give the hope that they can be, since B/T do love each other and are together, no matter what may happen in the future.
Thanks again, I know you put a lot of effort into this work, and it shows. Looking forward to reading more of your stories!

It has been an amazing journey, from the beginning. I know this end is far from happy, not with Bill all broken and destroyed, not with Tom feeling punished by their distance... by the way, I didn't get to mention that to me his break down, all the 'stop punishing me' was one of the most painfully beautiful things ever. I love your Tom and I still trust him more than I trust Bill. I think I maybe relate better to his conclusions and perceptions, I don't know.
I'm really looking forward to see them fully restore their relationship. I think the way you described the mend of their twin bond was amazing. I loved everythig about that scene... and I really wish they can be alright again. Bill's ideas about having an excuse to be away from Tom when Simone arrives kinda breaks my heart. Tom has been so understanding... he deserves love, poor thing ;-;
Now about the epilogue... it was mastery again! Who would imagine that the prick would've sent a copy for Simone? To the mother??? That's one sick bastard over there. I completely understood her feelings, really got to be in her shoes, but I think I'd be more like Gordon, if I was in that situation. He summed everything up pretty well with that 'we love them' statement. All comes down to love after all. She will love her sons if they're gay, if they're incestuous, if they're murderers. Nothing is unforgivable when we're talking about a mother and son bond, right? At least I hope that's the case.
I hope she'll feel that way somehow.

Author's Response: Hi, and thanks as always for a wonderful review. I was going to email you today but for some reason I can't get to my emails, there's a server error. So just to let you know I'm thinking about you. You have to remember that Bill is not himself...rape is something people learn to live with not something they ever really just get over, and its only been a few weeks. But he's just come to the conclusion that he's hurting Tom more by his behaviour trying to save his twin from being contaminated, than by giving his twin love. But the physical side of things will still be very difficult for him to cope with because he feels he's dirty, doesn't think he deserves Tom's love and will find it difficult to be intimate with memories of Ralph in his head. But the fact that he's decided to take his image into his own hands and move forward is vey hopeful and inviting Tom to share a shower with him and asking for a kiss are encouraging too. As for Simone, in a way it was just plain bad luck that she received the pendrive and it wasn't handed to the police with all Ralph's other stuff. It was the one-that-got-away of all the copies he'd made. Hopefully its just the shock that's making her react this way, but I think there's guilt there that she's to blame by being too lenient with them when they were younger. Anyway, we'll have to see how that plays out in the sequel. Hope you are okay, and I'll get back to you once my email's working again. Love, Helen x

I thought this would give a good hint at what the sequel will focus on. Working title is Gordon's Dilemma because the poor guy is going to have some tough decisions to make. The pen drive Simone received was just one of many copies Ralph had made and hidden away. Munroe got to all but this one that was kept with Ralph's stuff at the record label, it was forwarded to his solicitors (lawyers) office and got forgotten about until Grace unearths it and posts it on to Simone. This is like the fourth time I cried while reading your story. From beginning to end, you had me in tears. I love Tom here, though. He's just so caring and understanding the way he loves Bill. Whether it's getting him to simply open up or rocking him to sleep at night, the relationship they have in this one is just one of epic proportions. Never stop writing...ever.
God, I absolutely adored it when Bill revealed his blond to his brother, and while watching Mr. Sexy Pejic, nonetheless. That was an awesome way to bring that whole thing about. You're a genius, have I told you that lately? Anyhow, I'm wondering about their therapy being seperate and if there's any mystery there with Bill's therapist, Max? I guess I'll see in the sequel, which we're all waiting patiently for...sorta patiently.
Anyhow, this is starting to sound like one of my emails, lol...The shower scene between them was very sweet, and again, I love the care between these two here. I'm so glad you made it very natural for Bill to want to rid himself of his feminine look, as if it were kind of a coming-of-age and experience thing for him to say, 'fuck the label, this is the real me now.' It's bad enough he has to hide his relationship with his brother here, much less have to keep covering his more manly, older features with too much make-up and such.
Alright, I know this was late, but I truly adored this chapter and I'm off to read the Epilogue now!!! This fed the angst demon for now, so job well done!!haha!!XOXO!!

The epilogue is made me expect more.
