Hi I just read your story it is shaping up really well. I am not sure about a series since we are on chapter four. I don.t like to influence the writer since it is your story, but since you asked read up what the legal implications would be if the social services was to interefere and Bill allowed Tom and his sister to live with him, but maybe play that over the next few chapters. Would the parents want revenge, would they blame each other, is there a chance of them changing for the better. Bill and Tm should start off with a solid base of friendship, before anything big happens and Tom should feel stable and secure. That is all I got so far hope it helps.

I think it would be cool to turn it into a series.
But I've got an idea for the next chapter or whenever you want to use it, Tom gets comfortable enough with Bill and decides to take him to his secret spot near the school.
