Truth be told, the absence of any smut in this was a bit bewildering. I mean, with this type of story smut is just taken for granted. It was extremely interesting and enjoyable reading a non-smut version. Despite my bewilderment. ;)

This is really, really good. I love Tom's blunt, sincere nature and how much Bill's playfulness contrasts with it. It's a perfect standalone piece, although I admit I'd be curious to see more fics written in this world.
