I honestly thought for a moment there that Bill would get into the car and go back with them. It looks like he and Caelan got pretty close, despite how things started initially. Leaves me wondering if he'll be able to stay away from them long-term. Pure amazing.

You write Bill's fear so perfectly that I can taste it. This fic really feels authentic so far, both in the flashbacks and in the present. There's a wonderful, sinister menace hanging around Chris, and Bill's interactions with Tom are absolutley spot-on. Keep going!
