I though greeks were traditionally darker of hair? I mean I know Helen was blonde, and Aphrodite...and I think Persphone was too...but I thought they were considered so beautiful because they were so different. Just goes to show what I kn ow I suppose.

I looked it up after reading your review, and saw that blond greeks were sometimes portrayed in pottery, but they are mostly dark haired. Well, in this case Tom can be super exotic even in his own land! :D

Lol, I already know the jist of Ancient customs, so I wasn't at all surprised that the slaves for sale were nude.
Hmm, Tom's absolute submissiveness is kind of puzzling. (I know he's a slave, but.. he's new) I'm also assuming he made no eye contact during the whole process.
I'm not sure if you want this, but this is extremely reminding me of Dolls and Dystopia right now. I don't know, some ppl don't like it when readers say their story is like another story. In this case, though, ADD&D was epic, so it should be a compliment. Aaand, now I need to shut up cuz I'm babbling.
Author's Response: Yea, I just added that because some people might be like O_O creep! Haha xD Tom is new, and as we'll see, he will have some problems with Bill as his master, and there was no eye contact, but from now on there will be (once Bill gives him permission). I love ADD&D, but I haven't read it in a while. I based this scene on what I learned in my Roman History course about slavery and if its similar to that story, I didn't mean to do it on purpose.

Wow Bill didn't waste anytime in making his choice but then again faced with a naked Tom who would. The description of the shop was wonderful, enough detail that it was almost possible to smell the incense. Please tell me that Bill doesn't have to thank Bushido in a physical way. Is it bad of me not to be disturbed by any of this? It's like from the first line of this story you've sucked me in in this setting and I seem to find things 'normal'. That's a sign that you're really great with the settings and descriptions of this story, it's a pleasure to read.

Author's Response: I don't even feel disturbed writing it! And at the time of the Roman Empire, this was extremely popular and was considered one of the norms of society, so no one would have found any problems with it. In the same way, slavery itself was not looked down upon at all, and there were NO formal attempts to end slavery (there were some slave revolts, but when those slaves made their own colonies they were bound to have slaves, as vicarius were the slaves of slaves and were totally commonplace).
I'm glad you're enjoying the settings, and I had to throw in Bill doing that because not only is it historically accurate in pedastery art, but it's hularious. :D

You know, a lot of people seem to have a problem picturing Bill as a top, but I can TOTALLY see it. For good ness sake, look at some of those fierce pics out there, like the GQ shoot.
I was definately happy for thesurprise of botom, I ddn't read any of the warnings, cuz as soon as I saw the title I knew I was gonna read it no matter what, cuz you enticed me so well at the end of the last one.

I'm really attached to this world and all of its characters, so I hope you'll enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it! Don't worry, it's not too creepy, I think. Bill is seventeen (almost eigthteen) and Tom is fourteen and a half (because I had to make him young enough that he wouldn't have any sexual experiences already, and it's only a 3 yearish difference).
