uh ohh...that last line doesn't sound very good at all. I tried my best to just skim that part, so I am glad I caught that bit about the dark shadow.
Great chapter. I love that we got into Tom's head a bit. Its sad that his mother was taken too, and that his dad is gone, but it is also nice knowing there isn't someone waiting for him to come home, you know what I mean?
I am really looking forward to the next installment.Lets hope Bill doesn't hurt him too much his first time around.
