That was beautiful. REALLY beautiful! And I'm not even into twincest! Nor first person point of view! *lol* But you did something here that I can't really put my finger on. Something... I don't know. But it drew me in instantly. I couldn't stop reading. It's almost poetic. Tom's pain. Bill leaving all the time. One has to wonder what Bill is doing? That has him leave and not contact their mother even? And make his breathing weird? So many questions, so few answers... For some obscure reason I want a prequel for this, not a sequel. But I'm a sucker for darker stories, and I can imagine it could be. Or a story from Bill's point of view.... Yeah. See, now you got my mind going! Anyway, I LOVED THIS! The symbolic connectionbetween their mood, and nature's expression of it by rain and coming sun was really beautiful but also clever.
Every time it stopped raining, my heart was breaking in the same way as Tom's was.

Well, I owe that to Placebo. I was listening to "English summer rain" on repeat and realised there was no way I couldn't write this story :)
I know exactly how you feel. Each time I write about the twins leaving each other I get all icky inside, because the boys belong together, one way or another. Being apart is not in their nature..

Placebo is not exactly familiar to me, so I can't comment the song, but this was really beautiful... Melancholic and full of pain and hope. It was almost dreamy. I can feel Tom's pain and I'm still not quite sure if the ending managed to make me happy, convince me. That's interesting to notice. Anyway, such a beautiful, yet painful scenario around leaving...
Author's Response: Well, you should definitely check them out, then! ;) I'm glad I managed to convey Tom's pain, and the ending wasn't really supposed to be a happy ending - it's still open for discussion. Will Bill still leave when the rain stops? I do think it offers a glimpse of hope that he might, or at least we know that he'll always keep coming back to Tom. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it! :)

huh. I found this very interesting. I kept waiting for more resolution, more answers. but i think it works very well just the way it is as well. great job. i loved it.

I really liked this oneshot! Tom's been hurting for so long though he is not ready to give up on Bill yet.
And Bill... well he's a riddle, maybe Tom depicts the safe port he can always come back when life is too harsh on him .

I'm glad you liked it! :) Tom has been hurting, but he would never give up on Bill, not really.. I do think Tom is Bill's safe haven, the one he knows he can alway turn to and the one that will always be there for him no matter what. And we all need someone like that, don't we? ;)

Symbolism of rain, a single room as a choice of the only surroundings for this story, atmosphere you managed to create, poetic feel to it... it all made it so special.
My heart was breaking but it was a good pain...

You know, you have a way with words that usually leave me breathless and sighing with bliss once the story is complete. My heart was tugged so hard at Tom's heartbreak every time Bill left, how he hated when it stopped raining since that meant Bill would leave and then you bring me Bill's almost desperate begging for his brother to never stop asking him that question and you get that feeling that he is just waiting for Tom to ask just so he could give him a different answer!
I just...I can't even put into words how much I loved this, but I just had to add it to my faves because I loved every single paragraph.
The end just made me melt with pure love and I thank you for always taking my breath away.
