I don't even know what to say right now. I completely understand why my twitter feed was filled with nothing about talk of this chapter, and I had to ignore it all (mostly) just so I wouldn't be spoiled before I got to it. This story is my go-to, feel-good story. And I've been reading various chapters lately as I've needed pick-me-ups, and I've been hoping that you would update, but reading all of the other chapters has really acceptable because they're all so good, but this one is one for the books. This one is absolutely my favorite of any chapter in any story ever written. Ever.

By the middle of the first scene, I didn't think there was any way that it could get any better. It was just...you know, it left me breathless. Just seeing Bill like that, completely unraveled and at Tom's mercy. And then Tom -- seeing him so careful and tentative, but so guy-like (I guess, you know, being one probably helps your case just a tad), but wanting that ego boost, that affirmation that it's good, that he's good. I loved seeing their relationship -- the same two people and the same relationship that's been building since the beginning -- come to this. And the fact that it feels this way when there's still room for them to grow is exciting. I can't wait to see what more they can get up to (and I'm not just talking sex, though that's really sexy, of course).

But then I kind of fell in love with you a little bit more with the conversation between Tom and Bushido. Because here's Tom in this story, falling all over himself for Bill, and feeling all sorts of shades of stupid and frustrated and uncertain, but the conversation between the two guys was perfectly natural and easy. I love how Tom ended his rant about Bill pushing him out and punishing for things he hasn't even done with the line, "pisses me off." For whatever reason, it just felt so real. And I liked that we get to hear this other set of thoughts from Tom, even if they are a little bit exaggerated due to, you know, the guy-code or whatever. But not just Tom in this scene. You showed Bushido, who's basically been a dick this whole time, as somewhat of a human being. Even if he can be a douche to Bill, he can also be a man and be Tom's friend. Who'da thunkit?

The conversation about Bill's crush might be my most favorite fictional-conversation ever in the history of fictional-conversations, too. I loved the way Bill is just going on and on, and Tom's just like yeah, I get that, I totally do and Bill is still completely oblivious. (The way Tom got him high was also very sexy. I have a thing for that, for some reason.) And yeah, it sucks that he had to get Bill high to hear those things from him, but I think deep down he sort of knew it all along.

You packed so much characterization into this, I just want to gush about it all, but I'll spare you. Just know that I'm watching you and all that you can do (with your characters, you pervert) and I'm totally, completely, 100% in awe. I want to be just like you when I grow up. ;)
