Seeing Bill struggle and eventually go from "sure, look at other girls" to the L-word felt really real. His guilt and fear and stuff. It is very hard to open up again after being hurt. And Baby Thug's honest and open loving just hanging out there for the world to see~
I adored the scenes in which they prepared for Christmas and got the tree. Bill has a family now, and that's really touching.
And he wants to try! *squeals* And he might L-word Tom! Oh, my heart, she's beating all fast and fluttery. Did you know (unrelated) that eating large amounts of black licorice can give you heart arrhythmia?
I thought it was very cute and very Bill that he wanted the blankets to cover his blowjob-bequeathing head. It was symbolic of him wanting to hide his heart away from being hurt.
Overall, a fantastic chapter! As usual. L-word, bonding, family, smut, more family, and even a little commentary on religion. Very enjoyable and well-rounded, yet with that sharp edge of your incomparable dialogue writing skills. And now I'm going to bed. God forbid you update during hours I'm awake and normally functioning.

i love this. i think you've managed to make each character very real, they react in the way someone would ACTUALLY react in the situation, with none of the mushy crap which permeates 90% of other fics haha, and a genuine relationship progression, no jumping from hating to wanting in half a chapter which also happens way to often, i did get impatient with how slow the progression was, but if they werent friends first then it wouldnt have been convincing at all :) so i like .. and the misfits thing is pretty cool too, i approve lol
oh, and your banter is hilarious, ive lost count of the amount of times ive had to stop reading for laughing, its brilliant :P

Nnnngh dear god, this chapter was yummy. Watching Bill opening himself up emotionally to Tom is so wonderful, that he trusts Tom so deeply even if he denies it, is a relief to see.
I though Tom's rainbow rant to Beartrap was great, and Bu actually had some decent advice. I was impressed. *grins*
Giggled myself silly in some spots, like Tom asking where Bill's legs end and Bill's comment about carpet. Nice.
So feelings are all out in the open now even though they were hashed out during a drugged haze. Are they going to remember this in the morning?
You have no idea how much I love their banter, just the basic back and forth of their dialogue is so fabulous. It's lost a little of the original snark that it had, which is good don't get me wrong, as that means we are getting somewhere. *winks* I just love the affectionate wit and whimsical sagacity between them. It always makes me smile, and for that I thank you, whole heartedly. *smooshes*

Gah. Bill's insecurities are so heart-wrenching, yet seeing him take steps to overcome them is so wonderful.
I loved that Tom talked to his dad, and that he's slowly working this out.
Loved, absolutely loved, the part of Bill reassuring Tom after his nightmare. It was perfect and so right and Bill just proved himself to be a caring 'friend' to Tom.
Not sure how the whole Tom visiting Bill's mom is going to go, but it's a beautiful sentiment on Tom's behalf, and that video, god damn I want to see that. I had the most stupid of grins reading that.
Are they finally together in a proper together way? Dammit Kit, you're killing me here. You are so lucky I love you young man. C'mere and let me smoosh you *smooshses*
