I really love Tom's parents more every time we see them. We all know they weren’t perfect and there were issues, but here they are so kind and selfless. However, I feel kind of bad for them because the boys turn into 5-year-olds when fighting over breakfast and I think Simone should have whacked them with a rolled-up newspaper. Then again, she seems pretty perceptive, so I wonder what she's noticed about the two of them because if there's one thing Bill and Tom ain't, it's subtle.

I adore how Tom’s getting smart about handling Bill. Tom is being so brave and honest with his feelings, like he’s really growing up.

But Bill’s lying to himself to protect himself breaks my heart. I can completely understand him, but it’s so hard to imagine feeling completely alone and unloved. That line about if he knew what he did to make people not love him anymore tore me apart. He’s still an unwanted child with all the scars from growing up abused and I just to hold him and pet him but he’d rip my face off, even without Wolverine claws (that line was flawless, by the way.) You hit these emotions so dead-on and really make the reader feel them so powerfully.

Okay, so you got me misty-eyed a couple times with the kitchen scene and Bill wondering if his mom kept his Christmas ornaments, but I downright sobbed at the entire scene in the bed on the floor. That was amazing.

Your sense of humor and the wit you give these guys, it’s why you’re one of my absolute favorites. All the little details make these guys so vivid and alive, like Tom’s anxious shriek when Bill hugged him from behind. It’s so real.

Only your Bill could snark while he's giving his first blowjob and make that priceless line. Coming right after that highly emotional, draining scene, I snorted so loud at his comment.
