So, I read the whole thing yesterday and damn, I must say it's amazing. Totally deserved the feature. :)
Although, I saw there was mentioned how Bill could actually become walking or something like that and I wonder if he already could move his legs on last chapter? There was written '...wrapping his legs around Tom's waist...'
Anyway, I would actually really like to see a sequel, but it's amazing without it as well. :)

Author's Response: I'm not a doctor and I didn't want to try and describe more about surgeries in case I was completely wrong. The whole story wasn't about the medical aspect or even the disability, what I mostly wanted to show is that even when we get tired and give up on something after years of unsuccessful tries - even if that something is as serious as Bill's situation, there might be a chance that someone will come on our way and give us the strength and determination to do better when we can't find it ourselves. Hehe, I, uh, didn't even know this was a sensitive issue. I've been around people in wheelchairs a few times and I've never treated them any different. Or come across other people who treat them in a negative way.
I am kinda confused as to what exactly happened with Bill's last surgery before being in a wheelchair. I'm guessing the surgery was botched somehow?
Author's Response: I guess it depends on the society one lives in. No one actually treated Bill in a negative way - people usually are discreet enough to know not to do that. I mostly tried to describe the situation from Bill's point of view, that even if no one treated him any differently he still was a handicapped guy and since he never accepted it, his own creeping self-pity was reflected on everyone around him. I wouldn't know the technicalities of a surgery like that, which is why I didn't add any detail to what actually happened in case it was horribly wrong!

This is ho I feel about the relationship. I think the only thing that tthrew me off was the change in your writing form the past to present, it was very strange since most are usd to writing in the now, I for one was thrown off. Anywho, great job. L

this story is beautiful!
my brother was born with a clubed foot, he had mulitple surgeries, and has to now wear a foot brace to help him walk.
so i can understand what bill and tom were going through :)
