That was a lovely story! I thought the characters were very realistic.
It seemed a little rushed at points - I'd have liked to see a bit more about what exactly went wrong with that last surgery, and it would have added a lot to the story (and made the "years later" bit a little less confusing) if we'd gotten to see at least some of the process of Bill getting the use of his legs back.
Overall, though, a very sweet story. I'm so glad everything worked out for them.

It felt like it was moving too fast or a little rushed in some places. Nevertheless I enjoyed it. And a little Placebo is always welcome ;-) I'm assuming Running Up That Hill is the Placebo version since the title of this story is Special Needs?

Beautiful story! I love the emotion and creative writing in this! Very good! Some parts made me really sad and the I would get up and walk away from the computer to get something to drink and I'd feel so frustrated not being able to finish your story! I stay up late trying to read peoples stories because there so good, ^u^ You are a fantastic writer!

This is an amazing story. As I was reading, I felt so emotional. Parts of the story made me smile while others made tears well up in my eyes. It was beautiful and you captured every event perfectly. Some of the chapters, you could almost feel the anger radiating from the words, and sense the pain and happiness.

An honestly written and beautiful story.
I can't imagine a world where Bill cannot walk. But then, one can hardly imagine a world where any person cannot walk, but it exists. This story is almost felt rather than read.
