OMG, Bill is too much in this! He seems like a nice guy, but he's just so freaking clueless! And Tom...that guy can just not catch a break xD
As for the length of the chapters, I think they're perfect. It really fits both the the mood and pacing of the story, and I feel that you're letting us know the important things without rushing or going so slow it hurts. I'm just loving this!
