I just went to look at the story summary again (and ogle the banner for a while, because daaaaaaamn, umetnica, sooooo good)
and I noticed something.

OKAY.
SO. Bill was able to touch Tom, right? RIGHT? That wasn't a fake out? Because when I read the summary, all I could think was "Oh god, I don't know if I can handle the twins being on-again, off-again for twenty years because Bill can't touch Tom" and was afraid this was going to be a super, ridiculously painful story to read.
BUT BILL TOUCHED TOM.
I'm giving you scrutinizing eyes right now, since I'm realllly hoping the fact that they're only "loosely" based on Rogue and Gambit means you've made some changes to the nature of at least one of their powers. If you know what I mean.
NNNNNNNG.
I mean, I get that there'll be conflict and it's not going to be instant, flawless twu wuv, but. The pain of never being able to touch someone, especially the pain of Bill never being able to touch Tom. Oh man.
I am so ridiculously excited for this. Also - I used to live in Louisiana and I have to keep reading the dialogue out loud because it's making me all nostalgic and wibbly. ;____; A+

Oh god. I loved Gambit and rogue and now you're ficcing them!! Bill and Tom style. Just when I thought you had reached your pinnacle of awesome you go and surpass it with something like this! And what a something it is! I loved the chemistry between bill and Tom and the flirting was lovely. The work on the dialects was brilliant, I could hear both of them perfectly. Looking forward to the next part.

Omg *___________* I have no idea who Gambit is but I love this Tom! His flirting! His constant touches! It's like he decided right away that Bill belongs to him and then he literally tucked Bill under his arm, intending to keep him there. ♥ I hope he will! I love how astonished Bill is that he can touch and be touched by Tom. Bill does need to be hugged tight for a long time!
Your writing is as riveting and satisfying as always! I look forward to seeing more of this.

I was so excited to see this story from you. I love X-men and I've seen all the movies. This was a wonderful start to what I'm sure will be an amazing adventure. I can't wait to read more of this. And of course the banner was absolutely gorgeous as always. Umetnica is so talented :)
