That moment at the end of the chapter with the two of them was simply beautiful. I probably literally made this expression: *_____* Just a perfect moment, Bill enjoying Tom's touch, completely overwhelmed by Tom's acceptance of him. It brought tears to my eyes, and still does!

The ace of hearts! And it's two boys! I thought for a second that maybe Tom was gone for the day, but no, he just left it there. I think maybe he sensed that Bill was a bit overwhelmed with the idea of being so near to other people, and so he got up earlier but left the card to start nudging Bill a bit, and just stayed near so that he'd be there when Bill woke up. >______> There's a good chance I'm reading into this waaaay too much, but I really do think Tom is that sensitive to Bill's needs.

(Also, omg, Paceus is going to looove this chapter - Bill reaching for Tom unconsciously so much, so much affection, breakfast together. She's going to burst into flames - of happiness.)

Ohhh my word, butterflies erupted in my stomach when I imagined Tom as he "cinched both arms around Bill's waist." It happened again when you mentioned him rubbing Bill's belly (d'aww). I think it's because the instinctual need for closeness and intimacy - god, Tom must've known about Bill for ages and wanted his brother so badly. And again, the similar feel to "The Piper's Due" - I wonder if there's other similarities? I have a feeling that Jorg took Tom away from Bill and Simone - I may be wrong, but it would be a lovely and fascinating parallel to your other magnificent story.

Also: in the narrative Bill refers to Tom as "his Cajun". Boooy, he's done for.

Oh, for fuck's sake, your writing. I was just ogling a transition you made - from Bill showering, to talking about the plumbing, and for a second I thought, "Wow, it's not like Kish to add mundane explanations like that," (thinking faster than I'm reading) and of course, that leads to the mutants who did the plumbing, which leads to Bill wondering what exactly they're thanking Tom and the G's for - what exactly they do. GUH. That is EXACTLY how a train of though feels, and it was so perfect and smooth and I am so jealous of your skillz (yeah, that's right, with a 'z').

And Ellie's comment about Tom's room is making me ridiculously curious - I mean, it makes sense that Tom sort of keeps his personal room separate from the "clientele", so to speak, but it seems a bit more rigid than that.

"Happy you're happy, chère. Tha's all," GUUUUH. I MELTED. MEEELTED.

"Ah wonder what you'd think of Tom, mama," ...oh man. If this were a literature class, I'd be highlighting the shit out of this line as foreshadowing. Maaan, Kish.

I think I'm noticing a small, adorable, amazing characteristic of Tom's that you've written that I absolutely love; when he's feeling moved, he lapses more into is Cajun French. So of course, it's a sign of how strongly he's feeling when Bill walks in looking that beautiful.

And, outside of Bill's perspective, I bet Bill walks in not just with stunning makeup, but also more self-assured, more himself - and Bill's not just stunning to Tom because of his makeup, but because Tom is beginning to see just how amazing Bill can be when the veil of shame and self-loathing is lifted.

I am so excited for Bill's growth and Tom to be more and more amazed by the brother he's missed for so long.

I love their chemistry here like everyone else :) but still not better than in The Phantomrider series *still a wainting fan for that one until the end*
