I've mentioned this on other reviews: I came into the TH / THF fandom in Jan’22. The vast majority of fics I've read are quite old and I'm sure the authors have moved on (and probably wont even see new reviews), BUT I figure why not leave one anyway… I enjoyed this fic and wanted to say thank you for writing and sharing it!

I really enjoyed this story; I loved the plot, which was beautifully understated and moved toward a really great reveal at a great pace. Very enjoyable as both a romance and as a kind of coming of age feature. I'm really glad this story was featured, otherwise I might never have found it! I know this is going to be one of the stories I never forget.

Oh my gosh, that was so awesome. I briefly saw this around some months ago but I only just now sat down to read it. Read it all in one shot :D
So amazing. And I loved the philosophicalness of it all: the real world with its gritty problems or the heavenly world with no worries. Them being separated might have been what would happen in real life, but I thought this ending was very fitting. Probably the best one.

I bookmarked this awhile back and finally got the chance to sit down and enjoy it now that the semester is over. If you are not already familiar with him, I'd like to recommend an author to you named Charles DeLint. He writes modern folklore and judging by this story you really have a knack for that strange area where the world of fantasy and dreams intersects with reality. This was so, so good. I think it's so good that with a bit more refining and the fan fiction element removed it would be a publish-worthy short story. Great job!

So sweet. I taught myself big words by reading with a dictionary like Bill too. My family still calls me the walking dictionary. Your story is really enjoyable. I'm wondering where you're taking this. It's odd how Bill couldn't come through on his own.
Author's Response: Dictionaries are incredibly helpful! I intentionally kept the story vague until the end, but I was worried that readers would lose interest because of it. I'm glad you kept reading!
