i think the side story of Bill's family, and his little sister, is really interesting, but you never built any kind of relationship between Tom and Bill. the last i knew Tom had just introduced himself and all of a sudden they're going to be good friends and Bill somehow knows what room Tom is staying in. It seems like the stories all chopped up, and there are peices missing. I really like it so far, i'm just a bit confused.

Just gonna be a little constructive here though, some of the sentences seem a little awkward together and the meeting of the two seems a little rushed, maybe work on description a little? i really like this story so far. I'm sorry if you've had to go through something like this. My little sister has spina bifida too, though she's been very lucky to have not needed any surgurys yet. well, i mean besides the on when she was born of course. i hope you continute writing, i'd like to know what happens next, this sounds like it could be a really great story.
