I was going to note that Köln recieves its name because it was one of the "Colonia" of the Roman Empire, but I see your end note has already beaten me to it. There is so much historical and ancient facts in this so far, that I think my mind just exploded with the awesomeness of it all. :D
My only suggestion is that your spacing seems to be off in the visual format of the text. (I mean that some paragraphs seem to blend with others and they don't have spaces in between them.) Other than that, excellent job, and I can't wait to see where this heads!!!
