I just adored this story! It was definitely my favorite of the Christmas stories this season--just so sweet, without being too sappy (Bill's cynicism took care of that). And finishing off with a bit of smut never hurts, either!

i'm so incredibly sad that this is the end. D: i've really grown to love the optimist and the cynic! sorry it took so long for a review to come along, i lack in the department. :/
i just happened to be reading the first chapter in the car, when my mom asked me to read to her. from then on, my mom was begging for updates every night. it was really nice to have a story i could share with her, and have her enjoy as much as i did.
i have to admit though, this last chapter was painful to read aloud. i'm pretty sure the giggle-fits came in around the time the word, 'balls,' came in. these were definitely the most awkward things my mom has ever heard come from my mouth. but it was exciting, nonetheless.
i'm pretty much a christmas cynic myself, so i could relate so well to bill's character. thanks for making my holiday season more bearable! i just realized this review is kinda scattered, but believe me, not many fics get attempted-thought-out reviews from me.

I checked my email one last time as I climbed into bed from my iPod and saw this had been updated. What a great thing to read just before bed. I absolutely loved this story and I will miss it so much now that it's over.
You did a wonderfully great job through the whole story. The dialog and characterizations were amazing and so strong throughout. I loved the banter and eazy flow when Bill was on the radio.
I really hope his family listened horrified to him falling in love over the radio. I'm going to lay in bed and dream about them telling listeners about their first Christmas together and the trips to both family houses. I bet Simone was thrilled an I can see the shocked faces of Bill's family when he walks in with Tom on his arm. Thanks for a great story.
