This was really a compelling story. I was kind of expecting Gustav to be an experimental subject, too. The facility was a very well-imagined setting. However, I'm not sure about having Simone be the mastermind. The last part just seemed very abrupt.

O.O holy shit. Oh, my god....I am speechless...I am just so....thrown for a loop. Holy shit! Okay, so from what I understand this was a whole test on Gusti. George died, the mom really loves the twins, and they were just using Gustav. And they're going to keep using him and hopfully he won't try to escape. As soon as I read Simone's response I realised what the fuck had happened. I thought 'Holy shit, this was all an experiment!' Holy. SHIT! This was a good story! I am like, fuckin so sad that they didn't get a happy ending. But damn! It was good! Congrats, Bravo, Brava, and ever other compliment out there. This was a freakin A awesome, mind-blowing story! ^^v

I (of course) was hoping for a happy ending, but, this kind of ending was a big surprise, and suited the story.

Author's Response: Because I suck at writing happy endings. And it just wouldn't have worked with the rest of the fic. The whole thing that they did there, the whole 'humans as guinea pigs' was bad. Would you have preffered he would have stayed alive and continued to be studied (like Tom said initially.) I personally think it would have been a worse fate than death.
