You know, I always thought that was stupid. That abuse victims are more likely to abuse, guess what, you know how much it hurts, you should know better than to do it. So thank you for also tossing in a somewhat valid reason in there with it. I really arrpeciate it.

umm to be honest, the beginning of the chapter did feel a tiny bit forced, but then it seems like you gfot into the flow again. To me anyway.
I think 10 or so more chapters sounds good. I think between transition time between this hospital visit, the wedding, the reception, and the honeymoon plus the epilogue and whatever surpises you have in store for us ten sounds really good. But I wouldn't drag it out much past that. But thats my opinion, based on how the rest of the story was written and what I've seen of your writing style.
I really enjoyed this chapter, though I am not too sure I believe that Danny is a new person. It was a pretty abusive boyfriend thing to say when he was talking to benji about "not needing anyone but him"
I'm really looking forward to seeing what comes next! Keep up the great work!
