You know, I just love how it doesn't even matter anymore how far Bill is-- Tom will always find him.
I love how he can sense Bill's moods even with the distance and I really love how into each other they are.
However, I am most looking forward to see how this will all pan out when the shit hits the fan!
Bill being kidnapped before? Pfft, I sense there's something even MORE amazing and nail biting coming.
And the reason why I just can't get enough of this universe. ;___;
I love these Nephilin twins more than I ever thought I would!

Aww, Bill texts Tom immediately when his plans change! Like a good twin. *g* And he's WAY overbooked. I get breathless just reading about his schedule. Then again, I'm an introvert who needs hours every day just to be alone so my perception is probably skewed.
"You think they'd learn" made me so nervous for Bill! I'm glad nothing bad happened, after all. The signs are kind of ominous, though -- and he doesn't text Tom about this. I really like how he assumes Kellan's a scout and then stops when he smells the gun; the story is such an immersive experience to how Bill sees the world.
Wow, I never realised Bill might react to a full-blood Nephilim like that! I wonder if we'll see him in this story, then. Or maybe Tom and Bill encounter full-blood Nephilims later in their lives. Tom's lived among them, though, hasn't he? So he has more experience of that.
I love that even though Bill has to curb down his claustrophobia and they've disabled cell phones, nothing can be done about Tom sensing Bill's distress. ♥ "Tom wasn't overtly concerned yet, but he was aware there was a disruption;" I love that!
I was startled by Bill's reaction to the word "mate" -- I hadn't realised its significance to him. I don't know why. I'm guessing Sinclair was startled too. I'd imagine Bill looks pretty frightening when he wants to. And really, from his viewpoint, it must be like an ultimate sacrilege for someone to call him a mate!
I love that Bill says that it's polite to act shocked when shown pictures of dead people. Hee! The whole thing makes me wary: the pictures, those people knowing Bill doesn't care (and assuming that he's lying, to boot)... I'm so glad he's used to playing innocence and so confident that he does it well. Orion intrigues me. How much do they really know? They probably can't reveal everything they know, either. And what could they want out of Tom and Bill? Will they be working for Orion at some point? It feels a bit like Orion is the good guys here, but I doubt it's really so.
"He'd read somewhere that it was a human gesture to cultivate trust" -- Bill is pretty much an outsider in the human world, as well! I really like that.
"and if I'm not back with Tom within the hour, he's going to come looking for me. I don't think you want Tom to come looking for me." They definitely don't, I think! I love that Tom will come looking for Bill, and that Bill says so. ♥ I love how he describes Tom, as well. "Born to head up a house." I love that they're like princes or something in this story. It's like a warped fairytale. *g*
I wonder if Loire and Carson realise that their approach was all wrong. I'm not sure if there is an effective way to approach Bill (never mind Tom) but I feel sympathetic towards them, maybe because I think Bill and Tom could do some good (again, I'm assuming they're the good guys, and I'm aware I might be wrong about that!). If they told Bill what they're really after... well. I'll be interested in what happens next if Tom and Bill start working for them, or if they keep building their crime syndicate; either way.
"he could sense Tom's presence near. Not agitated yet, but reactive to Bill's mood. His twin was on edge, and so close that he was literally on top of where Bill was standing, deep underground." I love this. ♥ ♥ ♥ I love that Tom could find Bill without them actually communicating, and that Bill can tell Tom is near and where he is exactly, and that Tom can sense Bill's mood and Bill knows how Tom is feeling. It's so much fun when they're able to sense each other like that! And it's so lovely, too, twinny. :) Tom does always know how to find Bill! ♥
Author's Response: He's learning! And yes, he's way overbooked. It's no wonder he hasn't gotten around to learnign to fight yet, you know? And of course, asserting their twinly union takes priority over so much. :D
Bill has been approached by Orion before so it wasn't anything threatening or unusual to him. Wasn't too bad!
Even though Bill was raised among humans, by a human, to an extent he's learned to act human without having the same instincts, you know? And I think even Bill might have been startled by his response to Sinclair, but that's HIS instinct.
Orion does NOT want Tom to come looking. That would be quite a bit of damage. :D And ohh, warped fairytale, that's quite a way to look at it!
Haha, I don't think they realized how wrong their approach was, no. Every set of Nephilim is different! There's definitely going to be conflict. Orion wants one thing, and the twins want to go their own way!
Very twinny, and they need that, being able to sense each other like that. It may be necessary for their survival!

This Tom is so lovely! I love his instincts. Especially possessive instincts. *g* It's interesting how different the twins are because they've spent their lives in different places. And yet they're the same. ♥ It feels wrong that they're not attached at the hip because the RL twins seem to be, but maybe there's time for that later. Now they can spend a little time apart every day and miss each other so enjoyably and end up having adventures!
I love the description of them needing to be with each other so intensely because they were separated before. And at least another 17 years together is needed until it will help! That's a bit sad and so lovely at the same time. (I like it when they're apart a bit because then they can meet again and it's so joyful; and I love it when they're separated even though it's painful because it's so marvellous when they're reunited. But mostly I want them to be together non-stop and be happy together. I can see why angst can be sweet and satisfying but I'm also a wimp when it comes to angst... hee.) It's also lovely to think back on the beginning when they met at the club and were both so *__* and Bill decided to keep Tom. ♥
He "respected his twin's needs for differing interests. For now." Ooh! Will there be a time when he does something more, like demands Bill to join him in building an empire? That sounds intriguing!
I like the details in the narrative like Tom interpreting Chakuza's gesture as showing he doesn't have any weapons and yet knowing that he does; Tom's interestingly literal like that. Whereas someone who's brought up in the human world would have just assumed Chakuza meant that he doesn't oppose what Tom is thinking. Also I really like the mention that Tom uses Chakuza to find out what's going on because Chakuza is not afraid of him, and therefore easier to read.
And of course I like the details that are about Tom thinking about Bill all the time, too. *g* Like when he evaluates the desk's sturdiness by estimating if it was a good idea to have sex with Bill over it. "Once again Tom found himself thinking nostalgically of Bill, though they'd been separated less than an hour yet..." ♥ This is so lovely. I wonder what his underlings would think if they knew that he's this lovesick though. Or thought about the last time Bill tickled him. :D
"Unless someone gives me a reason to kill them, I don't see why I should go to the effort." I thought that he sounds almost reassuring and human here! Then I realised that no, he doesn't, I've just got so used to him being inhuman and scary that I got confused. I like Tom as a boss, though. "Tom sniffed, choosing not to question why Bushido had never done it before. Performance-based pay would save money and weed out the slackers. Tom had checked to make sure it was legal." He's so... wonderful, thinking about how to save money and make his employees more efficient. Having checked it's legal is cute! Kind of. I don't know why I find him so adorable here. Maybe it's because of the disapproving-of-Bushido, yes-I-know-I'm-great-thanks sniff which sounds more like something that Bill would do, thus reminding me that they're TWINS and lovely. :)

Yeah, that's where growing up with Nephilim can hamper Tom. He doesn't have a good grasp on what human body language actually means, sometimes. It's something else for him.
Bill is never far from Tom's thoughts. ;) Nor is having sex with him. *cough* And it would definitely undermine Tom's image if his underlings knew how lovesick he is for Bill. :D Or the squeaky noises he makes when Bill tickles him!
No way, it still sounds cold-blooded and scary! And Tom has a pretty amazing grasp on business affairs for someone who's never worked this kind of industry before, you know? Hee, I'm glad you found that bit to be twinny, I wasn't even thinking of it as such, but you're right. ;)

"there had been a whole lot of screaming and tearful 'no's" -- this is just so amazing. I love the whole paragraph. I can so see Bill like this: all tired and reluctant to get up, like every morning, and then just deciding to pull the covers over his head. Even though Tom was so kind that he brought him coffee! I love that despite the description, it feels consensual and like their game. I can't explain it very well but it just feels like they have a loving, trusting relationship. (And also that they're really hot for each other.) At the same time, I was kind of shocked by how hot I found this. The "tearful 'no's" haunted me for days. There's something irresistible about them being able to pretend like that, and I can imagine Bill's objections turning into moans...
Hee, I love that Tom still thinks that Bill shouldn't shower because then people will know he's mated. Tom, honey, I don't think people work like that!
Aww, I love that Bill thinks that now everything's all right when he's living in a neighbourhood like that of his childhood -- but this time with Tom by his side. ♥
It's kind of funny to read about the half-demon twins bickering like this, Tom jealous when Bill is going to go and see a woman they don't know and Bill warning Tom not to break the steering wheel. They're so domestic and almost normative in some sense. (Not that much in other ways. *g*) Bill is even busy like a student with a job and, well, a demanding lover could be expected to be! Hee.
Tom is kind of convincing; I also wonder why Bill still wants to study. Then again, I'm studying and working full-time so I know how exhausting that is, and maybe that's why I wish an easier time for Bill, even though studying is also a positive thing, obviously. I'll be interested in seeing what happens, if Bill quits or continues studying.
Omg I love that Bill is conditioned to expect that when they fight, they end up having sex. *_____* I love their (almost) telepathy, too. "Horny enough you're making me think about it." ♥ Tom flirting is absolutely wonderful! And Bill squeezing his legs together. It's so hot that they need to constantly be careful if they don't want things to escalate... guh.
I worry about them a bit, Bill not considering it dangerous that he's the twin of a crime leader and still not having learned to fight. But maybe Tom teaches him fighting in this story before anything happens. And if they end up having sex... *g*
Bill telling "You started it" to an advisor! I don't know whether to facepalm or coo because he's adorable. Maybe I should do both. Hee! I adore this Bill -- eyeing his nail polish critically and thinking that Tom should channel his ambition into acquiring a shoe collection. He's a dear. :D

"Their game" - it's definitely their game, and it's very much because they love and trust each other and they like to play and test the boundaries of that trust. I don't find non-con or rape to be sexy AT ALL, but there's something about two lovers playing at that kind of fantasy that I find to be incredibly hot. *_* And yes, exactly - Bill putting up a struggle and complaining and maybe even being extremely resistant to having sex RIGHT THEN, but being teased and caressed by Tom until he's moaning for more. ...*_*
Tom really doesn't know how it works, for humans! To him it's like some kind of glaring neon sign.
Bill feels like he's come full circle; it's a good feeling. ♥ And the twins bickering together is just like background noise, they're adorable. Although "adorable" probably shouldn't be the word, right?? Their schedules are just packed and they love everything they're doing.
Bill is extremely stubborn and doesn't like dropping an endeavor once he's started it. So even though Tom and his music are so important to him, he's started school and he wants to see it through, you know?
That would make it difficult to learn fighting, huh. ;) He's not exactly going to go bottoms-up for his enemy! But yes, Tom and Bill are insatiable and they have to be careful to NOT have sex.

Ooh, the plot thickens... I think Orion is trying to get at Tom through Bill; Bill poses them no threat really, but Tom is a loose cannon to them, and the twins together have, like they said, a whole lot of power. I worry that if they don't pledge their allegiance to Orion, the company will consider them to be enemies and try to dispose of them accordingly. Eeeee I can't wait!
