I started cracking up right at the beginning of this chapter. LOL, that singer is smokin' indeed. But I also attempted to tell Kory through the computer screen that he'd better watch his step, because that smokin' singer happens to have a possessive twin for a mate. >:D

Love reading Kyle's attempts at professionalism while Kory attempts to... commit suicide by way of Tom. And, uh, ngh, hello, this: To Nephilim senses, Bill was marked by the scent of their sex, in addition to Tom's bite standing out proud on one side of his neck, as clearly as though a "KEEP AWAY" sign were hung alongside the jingling chains on his chest. ldfjg I love that Bill is so clearly Tom's. On that note, I adore when Tom proclaims he's on Bill's side and Bill says he's on Tom's, in unison. ♥ Oh, twins.

And another favorite line? Kory turned in his seat to look him full in the face. "I think those twins are having a lot of sex," he replied, completely serious. O RLY. AND THEN HE HEARS THEM GOING AT IT IN THE ALLEY. Lucky bastard, even if he'll never lay a hand on either of them. This is awesome, and I'm finding myself loving Kyle and Kory. They've got such personalities in addition to being Orion operatives; as usual, you've got skill when it comes to OCs, lady.

Haha, that is the BEST way to describe it! "Commit suicide by way of Tom," and Kyle probably guessed how close he game. And that unison bit - I had that scripted long before I started this story. :P

This is such a great chapter. *___*

First of all, omg omg OUTSIDER POV -- with lusting after Bill! I LOVE this scene. ♥ The structure is absolutely perfect: it's established that Bill is hot ("to make even Kyle think twice about his mission," hee! That's fantastic!) and then Kyle finds out that they're mated. "Bill's admirable charms were unavailable to anyone" but Tom! And "they were taken, claimed, mated in all the most emphatic ways." *swoons* Omg, this is so good. I love that Tom is described as "darkly-glaring." :D And I love the sentence "The twins were mated to each other" as its own paragraph -- there's still a shock value to that thought!

Basically, this is all I could ever hope for in an outsider pov! But it's even more than that: I really like that the characterisation of Kyle and Kory shines through, their different natures and their bond. The personal hand sign sounds fascinating. I really like that Kyle describes the place to be a "college dive" -- I don't think Tom and Bill have the perspective to call the place something like that. Also that he thinks of Bill as a "teen." It's easy to forget how young Tom and Bill are in this story.

Omg, the fact that Tom is so powerful makes my toes curl. *___* I love the descriptions of him: he all but shimmers with it, Kyle tries not to look at him in the eye because of it, and Kory's face has gone white -- the last one was startling, I didn't expect that at all! I really like the difference between one eighth Nephilim and half Nephilim. Tom and Bill seem so impressive! And oh, I love all the differences between them: how Tom is completely humourless, "ready to kill them on the spot," while Bill performs flawlessly even though he's tense and alert as well; Kory telling the truth (I think he's wise to do so, and he's so polite! "Hey, that's awesome and I'd love to take you up on it" -- I think it's great!) and Kyle deciding not to smack him because that would bring violence into the encounter. I love that he's so careful.

In addition to differences there are also parallels between them that are absolutely wonderful: Bill rolling his eyes even though Tom doesn't see him -- I'm sure Tom knows he's doing it, though, exactly like Kyle can vision Kyle's wounded expression even though he doesn't see it.

Hee, I love that Tom doesn't carry any weapons, and Kyle's decision that it isn't because he's arrogant. "Kyle didn't feel safe, not truly, as Tom stood in front of them" -- ♥ This is so good. I laughed out loud when Kory says his unfortunate line... feeling both delighted and cringing a bit, because ouch! Clearly Kory doesn't sense what Kyle has already gathered from the twins' scent, or maybe it's a momentary lapse because Bill is just so irresistible. I can't really blame him. But still: ouch.

I'm oddly pleased for Tom's sake that it's so clear to Kyle that Tom and Bill are mated! At once someone can tell right away and thinks that it's so obvious it screams. Poor Tom, he's really living in a different environment now. It must be frustrating. I like that the twins probably hear Kyle talking about it with Kory. I wonder what Bill thinks about it -- he's not really used to other people being able to tell.

This made me grin: "Tom had Bill pushed up against the far brick wall of the alley and they appeared to be on the verge of making out." Oh, twins. :D

Omg, "he was intrigued with the thought of trying to nail Tom." O_O I wonder what Tom and Bill would think about that if they knew!

I like that the Wynnes learn new things about the twins, too: that they're mated and that their level of being dangerous depends on Bill. It's fascinating to read about Kyle analysing the twins and their dynamic. But I also like that the twins don't say anything useful after Kyle and Kory leave. It would be careless!

Oh, this is such a lovely chapter. ♥ But now I miss Tom and Bill. I wouldn't mind at all if you increased the updating schedule! As to what happens next, I don't know. I guess the Orion people have to make a move because Tom and Bill are so content where they are. Maybe they could offer Tom a contract job that is likely to escalate so that he's sucked in? Hmm. What I'm absolutely certain of is that Tom needs to start teaching Bill some fighting skills. Maybe the next, I don't know, two or three chapters could be about that? :)

YES! Outsider POV. Outsider POV with a death wish. And good god, do people exist who are capable of being in Bill's presence and not being attracted to him? I'm sure there are...but I can't believe it anyhow. And this is what Tom's been wanting this whole time - someone who recognizes his claim on Bill! Humans just don't get it. Kyle does!

The Wynne brothers are established side characters of mine that I just couldn't help but bring along for the ride. They're older, but they still go clubbing...but they just can't help but enjoy the old haunts. And it is totally a college dive and Bill himself forgets he's a teenager, but Kyle gets it!

Tom is definitely that powerful! Kyle and Kory aren't often faced with such strong Nephilim blood who, well...Tom kind of shoves his power in peoples' faces. Not even really on purpose. Too much. ...Bill is ever the diplomat! As Kyle attempts to be, here.

Truly it's because Kory just can't help himself. The twins are THAT HOT. And Tom is a bit arrogant, still.

Kyle and Kory, you've characterized the perfectly, the element of comedy I think was a great reprieve from the tension that seems to be building. I would love to see more of them. Oh, and the boys, poor Georg, he just stood there...
