I honestly couldn't tell English wasn't your first language, because this was written so well! I really liked the pacing of it, personally, and the characters seem vague enough to keep people guessing but still fleshed out. As for Tom's accent, I have no clue! I'm actually stuck on the "South American" part so I'm guessing a Portuguese accent (or a country there-abouts).

Anyway, lovely first chapter and I can't wait to read more!
