This was a beautiful story! I truly loved it, and it made me cry!

Wow. I've just read this whole story and it left me completely speechless. I really loved how you described Bill. This genre is one of my favorites, I love Bill being some myth or fantasy creature. Really beautiful story:)
Author's Response: Thank you for all the lovely complements. Writing Bill as a non-human really is a blast.

sniffle...poor bill. poor tom. DX BEAUTIFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUL!!
Author's Response: Thank you. Glad you could appreciate it, even though it was sad.

I've read this story once before, but the ending is still as tragic as before. Why does the island have to be that deserted that they could not start a population of their own!
Author's Response: Because it needed to be tragic and sad.

That was beautifully tragic. The end literally had me in tears, and I don't mean just a few tears sliding down my cheek. I'm such a hopeless romantic and this story was so eloquent and utterly heart-wrenching for me. Amazing job on this one, though I'm sorry to read your note at the top about you feeling so disconnected from it. :(
Author's Response: Well it's always a treat to hear that a reader got really emotional with my story. I take that to mean it was rather good. Thanks!

Oh God, I have a horrible pain in my chest now. I feel like Bill when Tom leaved with his boat. Aaah, you wrote so good, I love this :)
Author's Response: Thank you!

can't believe i never reviewed!
anyhoo, i completely loved this. the story was beautiful, yet bittersweet. bill loved him enough to know he had to let him go, no matter how hard it was for both of them. *sniff*
Author's Response: Thanks! Glad you could appreciate it for what it was, even though it didn't have a "happy" ending.

It's so incredibly sad, and yet it couldn't have happened any other way and so it's very beautiful and bittersweet for that. Extremely well written. It's moved me to tears.
Author's Response: Aww! I'm so glad you liked it, including the ending. Thanks!

I simply love this story. Is it based on "the Little Mermaid" by H.C.Andersen? I remember crying my eyes out when I read it - your fic inspired the same reaction.
Author's Response: Aww, thanks! No, it's not based on that. The idea was inspired by some made-for-tween book I read in middle school.

So sad and lovely. It was absolutely the correct way to end the story. A happy ending wouldn't have felt right.
Author's Response: Finally, Thank you! Everyone's whining about how sad it was, wah wah wah. Yes, I know it's sad, I WROTE it. So glad to see someone who understands some stories need to end that way. Love you for it!

heartbreaking. and perfect.
Author's Response: Thank you!

OH MY GOD I'M FUCKING CRYING. THANKS A LOT.
This is so sad! Please tell me there's going to be a sequel! Tom can't just leave Bill! He offered to stay, and yeah, I understand the sacrifice that Bill made, honoring his love for Tom... BUT, HELLO?! They're meant to be with each other! Bill let Tom leave for a future, but Tom can't fucking have a future without Bill... well not in my world, anyway ;) But yeah, so I'm feeling a sequel... yeah?
But if there isn't a sequel, I want to let you know that you are an amazing writer. The ending was sad, but if that's the kind of ending you wanted, you wrote it perfectly. I, personally, am a sucker for happy endings, though I know some of the people on this site are not, which I think is important to the diversity on the site. So if these kind of endings are your thing, it was absolutely perfect and amazing in every way.
Though I really do hope there is a sequel. Much love♥
Author's Response: Sorry, no sequel. I don't love sad endings, but this one was destined to end that way. Glad that you could still appreciate it as a nice story, even if it made you cry.

Aw~! The ending is so sad and depressing. Tom and Bill have to find a way to be together!
Author's Response: Imagine it in your head then, cause I'm done with this fic. Thanks for your thoughts!

Aww shit. I mean shit. Sad ending and not a bitter sweet one, just sad. I thought even though Tom hated the island he'd stay. Or like in Pirates of the Carribean Bill could go in the boat if he sat on a little pile of dirt from the island! Not fir Tom to just leave him! Now Tom will die a lonely man probably turning to booze and whores to ease the pain
Author's Response: Haha, I'm picturing boozing Tom right now. Yeah,I know the ending was very sad. Hopefully it still seemedlike a well-told story to you, not illogical?

That was the most beautiful and saddest thing ever. I know this is a weird question, but in the story, what is bill's life span? Also, a sequel would be great although not very plausible.
Author's Response: You know, I didn't really define Bill's age, even to myself. I guess I sort of imagined that he was immortal, or very-long lived, but he just didn't know it, either having only been alive about as long as Tom, or not really having paid much attention to the passage of time until Tom arrived, so he didn't know his age.

GAH! break my heart won't you! that just about killed me! Jeez, the painful ending is so understandable yet SO goddam hurtful that I don't know what to do with myself! Amazing job! If you ever feel the impulse to write a sequal, whether it's a reunion or just what happens in their "new" lives, go with it! :)
Author's Response: There definately won't be a sequel, but thank you so so much for letting me know how much it affected you.

a big loneliness, it was in Ades and Perséfone too
not connected why?
Author's Response: Yeah, there was a connecting theme there. But at least there wass hope for both of them in the future in Persephone and Hades. rnrnAnd Ugch! I just forced my fingers to type words for the longest time last night, producing a bunch of disjointed garbage that I wasn't feeling at all, until I finally got the scenes I wanted shown figured out in my head. It came together in the end though.
