This was good as usual, very well written...however something has been slightly bugging me about the...well...substance in the plot. Particularly with the smut.
Don't get me wrong. The story is well written but I think your rating is a bit off. The smut, at best, is bordering on PG-13 or a light R. Yet your fic is rated NC17. NC17 is for extremely graphic smut so I think you might be misleading new readers. Just a suggestion.
Also, I get where Bill, who is extremely innocent, would use the word "thing" to describe his dick. However seeing as how he's getting involved with sexual relations, he sounds a bit childish. It also doesn't fit with Tom to use this term "thing" when he's actually sexually experienced and has no problem walking around naked in front of Bill. So really these boys are embarking on being sexy with each other and yet they sound like they are both kids giggling about each other's "thingies".
It's no problem if you want to keep the sexual situations vague and the sexual terms inoffensive, but the NC17 rating is misleading. This is not an NC17 fic. You may want to put it back to PG-13 and just label certain chapters in your author's notes that they are either A) a "Heavy" PG-13 or B) A very "Light" R.
My intention here is not to offend. It's just throwing out a suggestion on how brand new readers may view your fic.
Anyhow, I'm still loving this story and I can't wait for more from you.
Author's Response: No offence taken, don't worry ;) I've always been pretty confused with the whole rating thing on this site, since it's completely different in Germany. I always had to rate my German fics P18-slash if I included any sexual situations or terms. I also avoided using words such as 'dick' or 'cock' since I don't think it would suit the fic and the guys saying things such as 'thing' in their minds is simply the way these 16 year old boys are. They obviously wouldn't say out loud "touch my thing", now that would be pretty childish. I guess I also kind of include characteritics of my 16 year old brother, the way he speaks or tells me about stuff that's on his mind, (or the guys in my class, they are very very immature 18 year olds, they call their dicks 'willy' in front of girls, I guess male minds are simply childish), but then again he might be childish for his age. I'm glad you brought it up though, I thought I had chosen the correct rating since no one had mentioned it, so thanks for telling me. I guess I'll make it a 'heavy' PG-13 then ;)
