Ahhh.....*facepalm* is WAS Eva Kors....oops, well I guess that shows it's been awhile since I read the book. Yay! Gustav and Georg are in the story now! The roles you gave them in the story are really cool.

Author's Response: Lol, it's okay, alot of the specific facts in this story I have to look up to make sure I have it right. And I'm glad you like the G's roles.

Ewa, I know that, but not only that they were built in different years, they were meant for different things at least as far as I know. I was there once and if I understood right, after Nazis (or more likely Aushwitz inmates) bulit Birkenau, Aushwitz itself was meant for prisoners able to work and be experimented on, wilst in Birkenau there were prisoners who were sent in gas chambers and unitl that happened, they were using them for extending the camp. Now I am no historian so I might mix something up and I will be glad if you or somebody else tells me I'm wrong and where I messed up :) Anyway, I brought this up only because I wanna know in precisely which time period this story is happening and if Birkenau is (or will be) somehow conected to the story :) (I am very sory if my commetns are bothering somebody)

Author's Response: If they bother someone else, its their problem, not yours, personally, I'm happy to answer any questions about the story, time period, etc. As I explained in your first comment, they were seperate but were eventually combined and used for killing. And I know I haven't exactly stated a date yet (which I just realized and for which I apologize) but this takes place towards the end when Hitler decided to exterminate the Jews and others. But as for your comments bothering someone, they don't bother me as the author and so I wouldn't worry about it.

speLaa, maybe because Auschwitz II = Birkenau. Konzentrationslager Auschwitz refer to a network of camps, and Birkenau is a part of it, but it's only my gussing of a reason for this photo.

Author's Response: Thanks for answering her question, but to let you know, I chose it for 2 reasons, one is that they were eventually combined and used for the same purpose and two is that I could not find a usable one of Auschwitz.

I really like this story specially because of the fact that it is based on Holocaust events. I think people should be more aweare of what was happening in that time period. Plus your writing is amazing and real and I like it a lot. However, I was wondering how comme you have a picture of Birkenau in your banner and not Aushwitz since the story takes place there? And I know that these two camps are located very close together but they were created for different reasons...

Author's Response: Thank you very much. I'm glad you like the story and my writing, as for the picture in the banner, I chose it because Auschwitz and Birkenau were eventually combined and used for the same purpose. Also, I could not find an actual Auschwitz entrance that was usable (sad I know), so if you know a link where I can find a usuable one, I will gladly change it.

Awww! that was a short chapter! But a great one as usual!

....After thinking about it, what kind of idiot would think that he can create Siamese twins by sewing them up?

Author's Response: Thank you! And it was mostly short because I wanted to thank whoever nominated me and I wanted to put yet another warning.

And Mengele was, well, for lack of a better term, a mad scientist. He claimed it was all done to better medicine for the Germans. I personally think he got a sick satisfaction from it all, but that's just my personal opinion.

ughh! that's so sicks! what was the point in doing that to the twins if there just going to die! i'm like so mad that this doctor who would do shit like that just to "see what happens" you know. but how is it that nobody else saw the twins before? Tom need to make Bill see what's up and how things really are. i hope you can update soon = ] really love how this is going.

Author's Response: Alot of Mengele's (and the other doctors') experiments were sick, horrible, and more often than not resulted in the victims' deaths. They claimed they were doing it to better German medicine and since, according to the Nazis and SS, those in the camps weren't "human" it didn't matter if they died or not. I do agree with you though, it is very sick and it does piss me off alot when I read through things about the subject.

In the story, th ereason no one saw them before is because they had been kept in Building 10 (the building Mengele used for experiments) until dinner, that's why Tom's character was the first to see them. And thank you, glad you like it and it will be updated soon.

were twins really seawn together?!?!?

Author's Response: I have found sources claiming they were. Mengele was fanatical about his experimentations with twins and so I was not surprised to find several places stating they were.

i truly don't understand comment of Kaulitz - Fan - is it not ok to remind this part of history and all those people who died in vain just because she is german? strange logic. i think more people should write about it, to make people aware of this how easy is for a person to lost own humanity.
thank you for writing such story!

Author's Response: Thank you for enjoying my story. I feel that every event in history is important, and the only way to keep from repeating the past is to learn about it. In my opinion, it is simply immaturity and ignorance that make people have a problem with learning about historical events. I love teaching people about history and when this story idea came to me, I jumped on it for that reason. So thank you for reading my story and being open-minded.

Omg...I teared up reading the part of the twins being sewn together :( I can't blame Tom or any of them for reacting that way, this story is really well written, hope to read more soon.

Author's Response: There are accounts of that actually happening, the only source I could find when writing about that one was about a set of twins who sewn together because one had a hunchback. They were connected at the hunch and wrists. Sorry it made you tear up. And more will come soon, promise.

*Rolls eyes* People are dumb. Come on, like TH has as much to do with WWII as they do with the raiding of Lindefarne. What's the point of getting all up in arms about historical fiction? Made me facepalm, it did.

Meh. Anyway. I had a huge long review done, but I read it over and was like 'wow...that made no sense' so I got rid of it :3

It sounds bad, but I love how this story's going. I don't mean it in a "woot! twin torture" kind of way and I think you know that lol. I just simply mean I like the way Tom's beginning to see exactly what's going on around him.

Author's Response: I know right? It just irked me that someone would ignore the warnings and then gripe about it.

And , lol, it's cool, I do that alot myself.

And I do understand what you mean, I figured since Tom is the quiet one he should notice, and now there's this evil plot in my head =) But thanks!!

Haha this is literally my first review ever. I just need to ask, are the characters Miriam and Adele fictional? I read an autobiography on Auchiwitz and the Mengele twins, and I believe those where the names of the twins (one who was writing the book). Sorry, I just needed to get that out of my system because it's been bugging me ever since I started reading this. Amazing story, by the way. I love reading about the holocaust, so I was ecstatic when I found this story.

Author's Response: Aw yay!!! I get your first review!!! *hugs*

Miriam and Adele are fictional, however there was a set of twins named Eva and Miriam, who both survived, and Eva Kors writes books and is featured on many websites. They are actually on some of the sites I gave at the End Notes. Just a thought, but I'm thinking about incorporating the two in my story somehow, just not sure how to quite yet.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds this subject fascinating, so I'm glad you like it!! Thanks!!

Poor Simon :(
And hmm.. Dr. Josef Mengele scares me so much. I'm a twin and as I said I love learning about the holocaust but I cringe every.time. I read something on him because I can imagine it being done to me.

Author's Response: Yeah, poor Simone, but it had to be done. And that's cool your a twin, I always wanted one, but my mom said I was too much of a handfull as just one person and she wouldn't be able to handle two of me =(
But I kind of understand why you cringe, I'm not a twin and even I cringe on this stuff.

OMG! How can one right something like this? Tokio Hotel has nothing to do with my country's history *shocked*

Author's Response: First off, I can write something like this because I want to. Secondly, you were forewarned in the story's summary of the type of story this is. So if you are this upset about it, I recommend you no longer read it. This has nothing to do with whether or not Tokio Hotel has something to do with the history, the point is, it is a story, a work of fiction based on real events. However I do apologize that you seem offended by it, regardless of the fact that there was a warning.

Awesome chapter! I liked the details and their accuracy, but why did they kill the women? I thought they labored with the men too.
Also the pics were a great touch!
-Merna.

Author's Response: Thank you! Not all the women were killed. Many were put to hard labor as well, however, Auschwitz was a combination of concentration, work, and death camp. Most of the time, the women who were killed immediately had refused to release their children, others were just unlucky.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked them.

Wait one thing I don't get is why don't they have any hair now? Also what does the triangle chart say? I can't read German T___T

Author's Response: Inmates had their entire bodies shaved to avoid lice Those who were killed immediately often had the hair removed when the Nazis were still cremating them. The hair went to make things for the front line in the war (gross I know). I have found one website claiming that Menegele's "children" were allowed to keep their hair, but since I could only find one source stating that, I went with the general concensus.

As for the triangle chart, I can't read the type on it when it's enlarged, but the different triangles stand for:

Red - political prisoners
Green - professional criminals
Black - Asocial prisoners
Purple - Catholoc Clergy
Pink - Homosexual
Violet - Jehovah's Witness
Yellow Star - Jewish

check out this link, it's where I found the chart:

I like this story so far. I'm a huge history buff, and while WWII isn't exactly my area, I still find it interesting. I'm glad your sticking wth being as historical accurate as you can be.

Even after almost nearly 65 years after the war, the horrors of what the past could reveal simply can't be always revealed so much, and still there are some still unknown today. But the mistakes have changed the present.

Pls continue on well with this story, it has afresh taste into it ^^

Author's Response: Thanks. I feel that in order to save the future one must learn from the past. I'm glad you enjoy this story.
