Oh, silly Bill, how could he possibly get angry and pissed off at Tom for scaring him just a bit?
This line cracked me up: “What do you mean early? It's nearly noon…“... that was precious! How confusing for poor Tom.

Poor Bill, he don't know where he is and what he may expect... That a trip into the past doesn't remain without consequences is more than obvious. Bill will early know, if the consequences will be good or not.
