I read the Outsiders in school before, and I didn't get the slang then. I still don't get it now. I understand what Bill is saying for the most part, but it takes forever for it to click in my mind. For instance, when Bill said something in the first chapter about this being his "joint", I thought he was talking about smoking. I've never really heard this kind of slang before, but I think it's cool when Bill says, "Daddy-O" :D
I wish there were translators for greaser lanugage. ;D
Author's Response: Funny, I brought up the term "greaser" to someone today who asked if I took it from The Outsiders (which I have yet to read). Apparently he didn't think greasers were real. XD Hahaha, well, if you need any help ask away and I'll "translate". XD

Not even gonna lie when first saw it in the recent stories section I started fangirling all over the place at just the IDEA of Greaser!Bill. I love love love a masculine Bill and this is just the utmost!!!
You're doing a great job with the execution. The dialog, the imagery... oh my gosh, the imagery *__* You pretty much had me by the end of the of the third paragraph. Bill's 50s way of speaking was accurate and wasn't over the top. Well, to me at least, but maybe I think so because I call my own dad 'Daddy-O' half the time! XD
So, yeah. Thanks for sharing this story! I love love love it so far! Looking forward to the next update!

This is my Cry-Baby fantasy come true! Johnny Depp is always the alpha and omega of sexy male in my book, but I totally thought about Bill the last time I watched Cry-Baby and wondered why Cry-Baby didn't have a younger, gay brother called Tear Drop. It's something me and my friend joked about but well...here he is. I'm already liking this one.
